Umma House has a terrace and is situated in Lamu, within just 400 metres of Lamu Museum and 500 metres of Lamu Fort. Guests staying at this villa have access to a balcony. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and 18th Century Swahili House Museum is 200 metres away. The house is a beautiful gem within old lamu town. The architecture is stunning, the rooms are freshened by fans and the pool is great to escape the day’s heat. The house staff is incredibly helpful and Peter was a great caretaker. We would also warmly recommend arranging a tour of the old town and of shela, as well as a boat tour if one wishes, with Abu. Abu is knowledgeable and loves his job; he is a great storyteller and a great artist (ask to see his recycled art). Walking around Lamu with him and learning about this unique place from him was a wonderful experience.

A simple request to shiban house to make it feel special, ended up being the best birthday surprise ever...Sada thank you, my heart is overwhelmed by how you managed to surprise me 😊. Joseph took excellent care of us and was ready to help us around. I must say, I feel fulfilled even as I have turned a year younger 😂😊😂. Thank you mapenzi too for the awesome breakfast we got every day.

This beachfront property offers access to a patio. When staying at the guest house, guests can use private entrance. Our stay on Manda’s side at Mangrove House was truly wonderful. The location is unmatched, the peace and quiet are absolute. The staff is wonderful and so is the owner, super attentive and ready to help and share. The house is right in front of Shela and Peponi hotel, just a short boat trip away. Would absolutely go back, and recommend it to everyone going to Lamu!

He went over and above to help organize activities across the duration of our stay. And the cuisine was wonderful.
