Superb gem in an unexpected rural location( easily explained as the hotel sits prominently on an intersection of 2 province boundaries) . All staff and (new?) manager incredibly courteous, polite and very helpful and efficient. Lovely spacious, light airy room with big double doors opening onto a big balcony enough for table and chairs outdoors times. It's so much more a full hotel facility than it's "guesthouse" name. Big Lobby Reception,Large restaurant, elevator, rooftop bar. High-quality furniture and furnishings, bedding etc. Hotel only 3yrs old and also refurbished or improved more in the last year Ideal if you have a vehicle, the only very minor negative is the location is about 1.3kms from Srae Ambel rural township and Passapp hailing doesn't operate there. But the hotel staff will readily find an arrangement for you. ( my recommendation might be a simple little buggy type free shuttle...?) Very very highly recommended, one of the best surprises I've found throughout my 3yrs nomadic traveling across S.E.Asia

From the moment I arrived at Cocoon, I was greeted with such warmth that I immediately felt at home. The space is not only super clean and comfortable, but the food is also incredibly tasty. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the large communal table provides the perfect opportunity to meet new people and engage in enjoyable conversations. For those seeking more privacy, there are hammocks and individual tables available as well. The owner is a truly wonderful, sweet, and lovely woman who goes above and beyond to ensure that your stay is unforgettable. The people in the village are just as kind, lovely, and welcoming. There are plenty of options for meals, socializing, and enjoying nature, including a stunning lagoon, numerous beaches, and a beautiful, clean river nearby. I highly recommend Cocoon for anyone looking for a memorable and welcoming stay.

We had such a nice stay at Young Wild & Free in Koh Kong. The beach view is amazing, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The owner is incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel very welcome. ❤️💕

I loved this place You arrive at the pick up point and are transported by speed boat along the river for a 10 minute trip to the location. I had a room that was directly on the river. I could swim from my room. If you want to be submerged in jungle and the wilds of Cambodia then this is it. Amazing sounds of monkeys birds and other unusual wild sounds. The only thing you might want to be aware of is that the wi fi only works from the restaurant and a torch is best to have as during the night electricity does cut off. The room was really rustic and didn’t have a fridge. For me these things you have to be prepared for when traveling in remote locations.
