This place is amazing, the rooms spotless , large and very well decorated, they have thought of everything. The food was one of the best we have had so far in Sri Lanka, and they accommodated our every need. Couldn't recommend this place enough.. love love loved it.

Wonderful property and host! Iqbal and his staff were so warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay! I was welcomed with delicious pineapple juice and a pastry. I ended extending my stay because it was such a warm and cozy place to spend a few days at the beach. Beach access is a few meters away. Iqbal also arranged surf lessons to peanut farm and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Best surf coach I’ve ever had! The room was very clean and spacious with hangers for wet clothes and storage. The hammocks outside each room are a very nice touch and relaxing. Each morning, the breakfast was very good and tasty! Lots of fresh fruit! Whatever you need, Iqbal and his team will take care of. Had a lot of nice chats with Iqbal. He will be missed! Wish I could stay for longer. Will definitely be back to this cozy piece of paradise.

Charitha and his family were great hosts and extremely attentive to all our needs (ready to go above and beyond). The food was delicious, the room was large and clean with an air conditioning that worked almost too well, there is a seating area in the garden from which you can hear birds and witness monkeys walking along the electrical wires. The property is walking distance (30 min) from Owagiriya Natabun Viharaya (Buddhist temple ruins) and as we were on our way Charitha kindly gave us a lift, as well as to another destination later during our stay. Both the father and mother are absolute sweethearts, and are more than happy to sit down with you for a chat (I had a little well needed Sinhalese crash course). From what I can see they are building more rooms/bungalows and a restaurant in the back, but as of February 2025 it truly had that quaint local feel I look for when I travel.

Aqua Blue có khu vườn, phòng chờ chung, sân hiên và nhà hàng ở Vịnh Arugam. Basheer and raffelle were superb hosts we had better hospitality here compared to some 5 star hotels. The food was delicious, they organised a wonderful safari and we saw a leopard and elephant. They also helped us when arranging a dr when we arrived with stomach problems! Rooms are spotless. Beach is 1 minute walk. This is a gem of a hotel and I can’t recommend it more highly. The wonderful people made our stay the best so far in Sri Lanka - thank you so much

Situated in Arugam Bay, Forcus Cabanas offers peaceful and quiet accommodation set amidst lush tropical greenery. It operates a 24-hour front desk and provides comfortable rooms with free WiFi access.... Location walking distance to beach, shops and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. Helped us to organize a surfing lesson/guide which was great. Air-conditioning worked well and was definitely needed as it was hot and humid while we were there.

My husband and me loved this place. The host is very welcoming and will help with anything. We've been there for a whole month and couldn't ask for more: fully equipped kitchen, sleeping room with air con, an own backyard with lots of palm trees, beautiful sunrises and a big deck upstairs. The house is actually at the beach, so you can watch the ocean anytime. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place.

The owners were super friendly, and it’s clear they put a lot of effort into making the place feel cozy and comfortable. The beach is just a one-minute walk away - you can even hear the sound of the waves from your room, which was amazing. Right next door, there’s a hotel that offers yoga classes three times a day, which was super convenient. When we come back to Arugam Bay, we’ll definitely stay again with Julia, Loco, and their nine adorable and friendly dogs!

The comfort is simple but everything you need is there: clean toilets, fridge, large open-air shower with good water pressure, and electric sockets in the rooms. Exactly what we were looking for — the feeling of being alone in a small paradise of nature. An endless beach with no one around, a starry sky at night, and a stunning sunrise over the ocean for early risers. Extras like a beach volleyball court with ball available, hammocks, and very attentive staff made the stay even better. The owner also organized two unforgettable activities for us: one of the best safaris we had in Sri Lanka at Kumana National Park, and a peaceful boat trip on the Panama lagoon, which felt like friends showing us around their home.
