It was close to the fort which we were able to walk to easily from the small hotel, and also a 5-10 minute walk to the train station. The hotel has a very relaxing atmosphere. Our room had a large bed excellent air conditioning and a large attached bathroom. There was a large balcony area, which was excellent for viewing the neighbourhood and also for hanging our washed laundry. The breakfasts are truly gourmet. On our final day we had an early start as we had a 7:15 AM train to catch to Colombo. We were very appreciative of the staff arranging for an early breakfast before our departure. Overall our stay was the first class experience.

The cabanas are incredible and everything is handmade by Janaka! He even thought about hair dryers (eventhough we didn't use it) you won't miss a thing! The outdoor shower is a dream, even on rainy days having the pleasure of enjoying a warm shower is great. The location itself is incredible, in the middle of a cinnamon plantation. Super authentic breakfast, eventhough you can express your desire we just wanted to be surprised with the authentic Sri Lankan dishes which were prepared by Dilini in the morning after we got back from surfing 🫶🏽. If you want something absolutely authentic, amazing and lovely hosts don't hesitate - just book your stay and you'll have an incredible time! We definitely come back!
