I couldn’t be more happy with my stay at Hideaway. It was one of the best stays I had in the whole of Sri Lanka. The owners are incredibly sweet and also very nice to talk to. We chatted about almost everything, they cooked us amazing food and I really felt part of their family. Can’t wait to get back and stay there again!

Clean, quiet and very friendly host. We came from a wedding and it was quite late in the evening, yet Chandra warmly welcomed us in. Would recommend The Golden Residence. Great value for money and the beds were very comfortable too!

Wanakaset Sri Lanka is truly extraordinary. From the beautifully- and tastefully-designed buildings made of local natural materials, to the magnificent surrounding forest and its impressive biodiversity, to the absolutely exquisite food, and the warm, welcoming, generous staff, I couldn't recommend it more highly! Banda the wonderful manager has put his heart and soul into the place, and his attention and care are evident everywhere. Likewise the rest of the staff - Yamuna, Achini, Rohana and Dammika - are all fantastic and will take very good care of you. For birders, Wanakaset deserves special praise: I recorded nearly 50 beautiful species including a number of Sri Lankan endemics during my stay! The butterfly diversity, mammals, flora, and wild mushrooms are also impressive. At night fall asleep to the frog symphony and the spectacle of a forest canopy sparkling with fireflies, and wake up to an enchanting dawn chorus of bird song. Later, stroll down the path to take a refreshing swim in the river, then enjoy a cup of hand-made local tea picked an processed right on site. It's a place you won't want to leave.

Our first overnight stay in Sri Lanka and it couldn't have been better. Fantastically good home-cooked food with pleasant chats with the family. We learned a lot about Sri Lanka, the food and the culture. We felt very welcome. Thank you very much for a perfect start to the adventure. We would love to come back, and then we will stay longer.

It was one of the best stays in Sri Lanka. In the middle of the jungle. We really loved to stay with family. It was the most authentic staying that we had in Sri Lanka. the kids (2 years and 5 years), are still talking about their home in srilanka in the middle of the jungle, they loved to spend time with grandmom ( she taught them one song, and we must singing every day ) and their tuk tuk driver, which was the best driver at alll srilanka. we recommend to all families to spent time in jungle homestay.

The pool has a Bali like view. And the best part about the stay is the owner who is absolute gem of a host. She is so hospitable and understanding. We could share any concerns with her. It’s a proud female owned stay which makes women feel very welcome. This was one of the very few stays we felt very welcome at.

At every meal, Isuru was incredibly thoughtful and caring, making sure we had everything we needed. What touched us the most was his genuine kindness: he would constantly ask if we were happy, showing a sincere concern for our well-being. His dedication, politeness, and warm attitude turned our stay into something truly special. Without a doubt, Elephant Safari Lodge has in Isuru a true treasure. Oferecendo vista do jardim, Kaba Saradiel situa-se em Mawanella, a 27 km de Estação Ferroviária de Kandy e 28 km de Estádio Bogambara. We had an amazing stay at this accommodation! The place is even more beautiful than it looks in the photos, with a charming and cozy atmosphere. The owner was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to assist us, especially when we decided to rent a scooter. His support made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. We highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a comfortable and welcoming experience!
