There was air conditioning in the room which was so needed in the humid jungle! The husband and wife running the home stay have excellent English. They are so kind and helpful. We had an issue with the fan in the room and it was fixed within minutes! We had an incredible spread for breakfast and didn’t need to eat again until the evening.

Chathuri and her sister’s breakfast was sensational and a very nice introduction to Sri Lankan cuisine for us. Chathuri’s husband Gayan was ready and waiting to pick us up from Habarana train station and we were also able to arrange a safari with Gayan which was sensational! I would recommend this place to all couples and solo travellers as a beautiful place to stay in Sigiriya and Sri Lanka.

Very clean inside as well and the host and his family were extremely friendly :)

The place exceeded our expectations with its peaceful and quiet atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the owner personally took us to Pidurangala Rock at 5:30 am by tuk-tuk to see the sunrise, and waited for us (extra fee). The traditional Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious and truly authentic. As a lovely parting gesture, we received magnets during check-out. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm and memorable experience!
