We stayed at Mimoza Mirissa during our whale watching trip to Mirissa on B&B basis. Everything about this little hotel is excellent. It's situated at walking distance to Mirissa fishing harbor where whale watching tours start and also less than 1.5 km from the secret beach and <1km from Mirissa town. The rooms are comfy, well maintained and come with all the amenities. The staff is very friendly and courteous and provides excellent service. And flexibility at arrangements is also noteworthy. And all of this comes at a very fair asking price. If you're visiting Mirissa area this is the easiest to recommend. But you may have to make reservations in advance. The aesthetics are beautiful, the room was squeaky clean, the bed comfortable, electrical sockets with direct USB connectors were given in plenty and in all the right places, the bed headboard even had light switches to access while in bed, the bathroom was one of the biggest I've encountered at a hotel and had the most exquisite designs I've seen. 2-4 minute walk to the beach and plenty of amazing restaurants nearby. But the best part was the staff and owner. They are beyond helpful and ensured at every point that our needs were met.

Newly build, nice spacious. Perfect in our opinion and the guy is very nice and helpful. The hot water wasn’t working and he instantly fixed it. Recommend!

The owner is responsive to messages sent through the booking portal. A quality breakfast is provided by Nisha, who serves it with warmth and kindness, always wearing a happy and pleasant smile. Talalla Beach is about a 12-minute walk away along a relatively quiet street. Compared to other beaches on Sri Lanka’s southern coast, it is less crowded, making it a peaceful spot to relax.

It was very clean and the beds were private - it felt that you have your own space. I went to different hostels in Hiriketiya, but this one is the best.

The owners are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean. The location is very good, just a few minutes from the beach and some lovely restaurants, and being just outside of Matara itself is perfect as Polhena is beautiful! Highly recommend Blooming Polhena!

Jeremy and the team are excellent hosts, attending to every request we had, whether it was transport, excursions, or restaurant bookings. The guesthouse is perfectly situated at a comfortable distance from both Dickwella and Hiriketiya, offering perfect peace and tranquility. There is a wide variety of traditional and modern dining options just a short tuk-tuk ride away. The place is immaculately clean, with the grounds extending to a gorgeous beach that was peacefully quiet (which we loved!). A big shout-out to Roshan and his lovely daughter Nikya, our trusty tour guide, who were brilliant in giving advice and organizing any outings we took. A fantastic stay with some great memories made. Highly recommended!
