We were the only guests as it was the off season but the service was still top notch. One of our group was ill for the stay and the staff were very kind and caring, and provided cold compresses, a tonic and dinner to the room for her. The dinner they provided for the group was ample and incredibly tasty. During that we enjoyed hearing about the property, the area and their experiences. This stay felt like a real home away from home thank you!

Even though hotel is located by the Ella-Wellawaya road, the location is very calm. Construction wasn't done in some parts of the facility. But the available rooms were at good standard. Good value to your money.

With Micheal leading the way, we explored breathtaking landscapes and learned so much about the local culture and nature through his stories and deep knowledge of the area. His home is peaceful, well-kept, and made even more special by the presence of two lovely kittens that added a touch of charm and comfort. If you're looking for something genuine and heartfelt, this is the place. Micheal is a host like no other.

Yala Avian Eye Safari truly was amazing. The accommodation is so spacious with a large bedroom and bathroom, a kitchenette and generous outdoor space. It was an oasis. We had an amazing stay. The bed was super comfortable with a fan and AC. Bhagya’s mother prepared dinner for us after an afternoon safari and breakfast before we headed off. Both were extremely generous portions and very tasty. We enjoyed our private safari with Bhagya and got to see many animals and birds. I even got to eat a fresh mango fallen from his mango tree.

A beautiful retreat by the river and close to Block 5 Yala NP. Suj is a lovely guy and a fantastic cook and the servings are more than we could eat. The room is large and very clean and comfortable. You see elephants on the road not far south of the property and the whole experience there felt truly authentic. Highly recommended
