Located in Udawalawe, NATURE HOUSE offers rustic accommodation with free WiFi access available at all areas. Rooms are comfortable, clean and fitted with a spacious private terrace. The rooms were clean and spacious, staff were friendly. The swimming pool was clean and big. The breakfast was ok, the dinner was a buffet of traditional Sri Lankan food. We booked a safari tour through the hotel itself - it was a great experience overall.

An accommodation surrounded by nature. Very close to the lake and to the elephant transit home. The staff was very helpful and friendly, he arranged a safari with a very nice driver who paid so much attention in wildlife welfare. He also arranged our transfer from Mirissa and then to yala, the driver was friendly and was a pleasure to talk to him. We had a wonderful dinner and also a super Ayurvedic massage near the accommodation!!

The pool is gorgeous and the gardens are beautiful. The rooms are self contained, large and modern! Lovely balcony looking over the jungle. The main man who looked after us (I cant remember his name but he makes the coffee!) was my favourite host in Sri Lanka so far. He was so helpful, warm and friendly and it was never too much! The coffee he makes is the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka!

However, this turned out to be a great surprise as the facility and staff exceeded our expectations. The room was very clean, the best bathroom during our Sri Lanka trip, comfortable. The backyard is a forest with an amazing feeling of nature being next to you. The staff (a young brother and sister) were really great. Our breakfast was marvelous. And the facility was very very cheap. I think the team should reconsider the prices. We also used their jeep for safari and the price and quality was very good. Suresh was our guide and he was very very good with identifying all species of birds, not just a generic elephant observer. We were very satisfied with our tour. This was a great stay for us and we can suggest to everyone.

Very friendly family, delicious food, super clean and beautiful bungalow. We loved the outdoor shower. The host organized a half day Safari for a fair price (it was not the best Safari experience ever, however this wasn't the fault of the guide nor of the host. I guess if you don't wanna be the 6th Jeep in front of an elephant you either need to book a full day to go deeper into the park or go somewhere else). Regarding the accomodation and organization: everything wonderful, can recommend a 100%

Nice tent house, really friendly and welcoming hosts. We were greated by a welcome drink, the family cooked us a really nice 4 curry dinner. They also helped us organise a safari trip and gave us a king coconut on our way out. We really enjoyed our stay and the whole experience. Highly recommend.

We only stayed for two nights, but we could have easily stayed longer. The room was clean, and our favorite feature was the outdoor bathroom, which we absolutely loved — it had a toilet, a regular shower, a natural waterfall-style shower, and even a small private plunge pool or bathtub — really fantastic. The location is great — right in the center of town, but it feels like you’re in the jungle. It’s beautifully arranged, and it’s definitely worth spending time relaxing on the terrace. The owner is extremely friendly and also offers dinners and a safari trip to Udawalawe National Park.

A nice, new, quite and clean place surrounded by a beautiful garden. It was the best-equipped room we had in Sri Lanka. Amil and his wife are hard working and good people . They do their best and succeed in making you fell welcome and at ease. The breakfast and the other meals were good and plentiful. They organized our transfer from Sigirya with a professional driver and very nice person( Priyante). If we come back to Udawalawe we would choose again this lovely place.

Highly recommended for a peaceful stay after back to back visit of the regions from Sigiri to Udalwalwe. The place is like dreamy. As we entered, we were so astonished by the beauty of the place. There are houses to stay surrounded by the lake. The owner and the workers were so friendly. The greeted us very warmly and prepared the dinner for us. The maid explained the dishes and its preparations while making the food. They made the Srilankan pancake for us. they made us the black tea and provided some biscuits. The property owner took us for a boat ride in the evening. The place were so safe. It was the off season we visited, hence only we were at the property. But still we feel safe and sound there. We enjoyed an amazing time near to the lake. It was raining too. During night, it looks so amazing with the lights all around. The were swings to rest and the beauty of the nature was so blended with it. They had a pet called Ruby for all the pet lovers. We truly felt like home and didnt feel like to leave the place. I think everyone should take a stay here during your Srilanka visit.
