He went out of his way to make sure we had a good stay, and we really enjoyed the breakfasts in the morning. The location of the property is incredible right on the water.

Merlin Guest House is a property set in Saint Francois. Some rooms feature a kitchen and a private bathroom. Free WiFi is available and on-site parking is provided. Though basic, it is very clean and well maintained. Staff were excellent in their services and dinner was superb!

The view was absolutely fantastic and a joy to wake up to every morning. The house was in a lovely secluded position on the hillside and so well equipped from a fridge freezer, great coffee machine, excellent Wifi and so much more. The owner was so responsive by text and the lovely Melissa was on hand if I needed anything. She also cooked me the best meal I had on the island. There was a great little shop down the road and excellent local restaurant with a bus stop at the end of the track to get into town or to the beach or It was a 15 minute if you fancied the walk to Mourouk beach. I was a solo female traveller and felt very safe. I cannot wait to go back and can’t recommend this place enough, especially if you are wanting to experience a beautiful authentic island off the beaten track. This accommodation offers it all. Every morning they coming with a little breakfast- a very sweet touch of your day. Very clean and nice apartment! If you need a peaceful place- Palms Ocean views - it’s a great place for you! Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed—with a fridge stocked with snacks, which was a lovely touch! The location is perfect for nature lovers, offering a serene and idyllic setting. One of the most delightful surprises was the host’s thoughtful gesture—every morning, fresh baguettes and croissants were delivered right to our door for breakfast. I highly recommend Lily Pad Lodge and would definitely stay here again when visiting Rodrigues. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Great place with very nice view of the sea and nature, in a quiet location. The house is well equipped with everything needed for short/long stays, and it's very clean and modern. Jeanette and Phil were very welcoming, and we felt at home since we arrived. Port Sud can be reached by foot, as there's a direct trail towards it (not showing on Google Maps)
