Jessica and Lino were very welcoming and catered for all our needs: from delicious breakfasts and dinners to arranging transportation and snorkelling trips. It was a pleasure to stay at their place and we recommend it highly.

He went out of his way to make sure we had a good stay, and we really enjoyed the breakfasts in the morning. The location of the property is incredible right on the water.

Merlin Guest House is a property set in Saint Francois. Some rooms feature a kitchen and a private bathroom. Free WiFi is available and on-site parking is provided. The Guesthouse is in a beautiful location, just a five minute walk to Saint Francois Beach. There are hiking trails to nearby beaches that you can only access by walking.

The accommodation provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The rooms were clean and spacious, matching the description and photos provided online. The location was brilliant - quiet, with beautiful views. We accessed attractions by hire car which our host, Stefan, organised. He also organised a boat trip for us. Breakfast and evening meal were provided and were delicious. The staff other than Stefan were friendly and helpful, ensuring our needs were met throughout our stay. Overall, we would definitely stay there again.

The view was absolutely fantastic and a joy to wake up to every morning. The house was in a lovely secluded position on the hillside and so well equipped from a fridge freezer, great coffee machine, excellent Wifi and so much more. The owner was so responsive by text and the lovely Melissa was on hand if I needed anything. She also cooked me the best meal I had on the island. There was a great little shop down the road and excellent local restaurant with a bus stop at the end of the track to get into town or to the beach or It was a 15 minute if you fancied the walk to Mourouk beach. I was a solo female traveller and felt very safe. I cannot wait to go back and can’t recommend this place enough, especially if you are wanting to experience a beautiful authentic island off the beaten track. This accommodation offers it all. The accommodation is very well equipped, we felt at home here. John gave us advice and help us for our stay. It’s very well located and gives you a beautiful view of Rodrigue lagoon.

Jean reached out to me before my arrival, providing invaluable information, including tips on car rentals and excursions. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed—with a fridge stocked with snacks, which was a lovely touch! The location is perfect for nature lovers, offering a serene and idyllic setting. One of the most delightful surprises was the host’s thoughtful gesture—every morning, fresh baguettes and croissants were delivered right to our door for breakfast. I highly recommend Lily Pad Lodge and would definitely stay here again when visiting Rodrigues. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

The house is well equipped with everything needed for short/long stays, and it's very clean and modern. Jeanette and Phil were very welcoming, and we felt at home since we arrived. Port Sud can be reached by foot, as there's a direct trail towards it (not showing on Google Maps)

The breakfast and dinner were quite good, and they are very accommodating to dietary restrictions. The facilities were as described; it was overall clean and had a beautiful view of the surrounding forest/ocean. The location is also ideal for kitesurfing and diving in Mourouk. I highly recommend this stay for other travelers who are looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation :)
