David and Annika the owners are priceless. David came out to meet us when we couldn’t find their place. David and Annika welcomed us like we were old friends of theirs visiting them. No request was too big for them. David helped with a place to have dinner as soon as we arrived. Annika arranged a geology tour with the infamous Basil for my husband the morning after we had arrived. Annika arranged for our laundry to be done. David lit the fire so that we could bake our spuds and Annika prepared everything else so that we could have our dinner at the Desert House. Breakfast is super super delicious and generous!! Their staff are so friendly. We will definitely be back 😊

This was by far one of our favorite stays while traveling in Africa. The hosts communicated nicely before we arrived, sharing the location and asking us what we were interested in doing while in town. They also gave amazing recommendations for close by food and drinks. The room and outdoor space was nice and spacious, thoughtfully decorated, and felt easy to relax in. The shower was perfect after a day of activities with good pressure and heat. It was a much needed feeling of home after traveling for so long. We came as strangers and left feeling like family! Another part was their recommendation to do a tour of Sandwich Harbor with the tour guide, Gideon. Hands down an amazing experience with fresh oysters, champagne, and good eats while in the middle of the Namib desert. After we expressed a desire to sandboard, he ensured we had an amazing spot and prepared boards for multiple awesome rides. Then we enjoyed a spectacular Braai with everyone and it is something I will remember forever.
