Guests can access the campground via private entrance. Absolutely superb experience- our tented home opened every morning to a stunning African savanna vista. We had a waterhole on our doorstep, where we were able to see wild horses frolicking as the sunset. Sunrise, sunset and the sky of stars are something to behold. Camp Gecko provides a quiet space to absorb the beauty of Africa and Namibian. It is close enough to Solitaire, your one dtoo for all but also far enough to truly experience the African bush. Staff were amazing and their varied braai packs were greatly appreciated. A cannot recommend Camp Gecko enough. We will be back.

Very comfortable rooms, great hot showers, pretty good wifi in bar area only and a swimming pool too ( brrrr in june!) staff are so friendly and can provide and deliver food to your cottage. They also supply a kitchen box with all untensils, frypan, saucepan, plates etc. Electric cooktop in outside kitchen plus kettle and fridge. You just sit on your porch and admire the stunning views whilst cooking, amazing!

Beautiful sky at night. Not bad swimming pool. Relatively close to deadvlei.gas station and small shop 100m from campgrounds.

Some units have a fireplace. All units at the campground are fitted with a shared bathroom fitted with a shower. Really cool place to stay, we regret to book only one night their. The camp was really quiet with an amazing sunset.

Guests can make use of the outdoor fireplace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the garden and quiet street. Everything! Location, location, location - it’s not far from Sossusvlei and only a fraction of the cost of staying inside the park. We had a problem with our rental car and they put us up another night, no problem at all. Special mention to the manager, Martiens. He kept us company all day while our car was getting fixed and took us up the hills to view the sunset each night as it sets over the golden grass. Do yourself a favour and stay here, the grounds are beautiful, the staff so helpful and friendly. It was a real highlight in our time in Namibia.
