This is a nice studio tucked away below the main house but with a good view out over Wainui. It is set in a large green lawn, which was popular with birdlife.

Such a quaint little stay. Unfortunately there for a Tangi and last minute decision to not drive tired. Absolutely loved loved loved the beds and pillows, so much so, I had to come home and buy that mattress. It was like sleeping on a cloud. The Host Nic was very courteous and accommodating your every need (next time I'll make sure to include some preferences and read the compendium haha) . Above and beyond service. Great breakfast, refreshments and well equipped little kitchenette. It was located on the Road where I first lived in Gisborne, right opposite my old school Awapuni school. Great off street parking, and I noticed you can also charge an electric car there for all the electric car owners. Close to the beach (went for a metal detect) close to town and very quiet. I am defintely going to recommend to others who visit Gisborne. It was very nostalgic for me and bought back so many memories after being away a good 29 years. Super chuffed with my stay. PS. I now know how to use a smart TV as well :)

Mahaanui Cottage Farmstay tọa lạc ở Tiniroto, có khu vườn, sân hiên và sân tennis. When we booked a stay in this remote part of New Zealand, we didn't quite know what to expect. Had we known what a highlight Mahaanui Farm Stay would be, we would've stayed longer! Sally and Simon are perhaps the kindest hosts we've ever encountered! Not only was the house clean, cozy, and warmed by a fire already roaring in the hearth, but there was a personalized note for our family on the table and treats waiting for us in the fridge. Simon came by to check on us within 20 minutes of our arrival and oriented us around the farm. The property itself is stunning, and we appreciated them giving us permission to stroll the grounds, feed the pigs (which our girls LOVED!) and gather firewood. The farmhouse is an old family place clearly filled with so much love. It is fully-equipped, with electric blankets on every bed (very nice during the winter months.) Water stayed nice and hot and we really appreciated having a washer/dryer. But the cherry on top of a lovely stay was doubtlessly Simon's farm tour. Months later, our girls still won't stop talking about our morning with him. We'd return in a heartbeat!
