Everything was clean and sparkling, obviously a lot of care had been taken. Great interior, well put together,the photo doesn’t do it justice. Sheets were pure cotton and so comfortable as was the bed We liked having the toaster , the water bottles in the fridge and chocolates a nice touch. Frendly hosts.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay at this unique cabin. Such a brilliant location with the most special view (even when we had a bit of rain on our final morning) and incredible surroundings. Photos really cannot do this place justice - it’s just beautiful and the little patio area is perfect for enjoying some outside time in this part of the world. This cabin offers a really unique and cosy stay, and we would definitely recommend. Having spent five weeks travelling around NZ and staying in many different types of accommodation, this was the standout! We could not have asked for better or more friendly hosts either - thank you so much David and Sandy, especially for all your tips while in the area!

Amazing property, designed with so much attention to detail. The property is beautifully appointed. I don’t often spend free time (when I’m not working) at rental properties, but truly enjoyed relaxing in the spaces at the Oaktree House. They are stunning, comfortable and well thought out. The large windows and doors opened up to make you feel like you were outside. The hosts provide so much more than other properties. The Nespresso machine with the frother made delicious coffee. There was a lovely basket of fruit and some candies on the counter. The host was prompt and helpful in responding to questions too. I wish I could have stayed longer but will return if it’s available again next time. What a gem!

The breakfast tray was a pleasant surprise it was enough for both of us to see us through to dinner. John and ineke were the perfect hosts very friendly and informative of the area etc. Spacious clean room with outside patio area where you can see views across and the birds drinking the sugar water John puts out everyday. Snow the cat even came to hello and sat quite content on the patio with us.

The accommodation was super nice, they left on the lights in the evening for us to find the location after sunset. The check-in was super easy and the views were amazing. The counter and fridge were stacked with thoughtfully picked snacks and everything was super clean. We're happy to stay in Wake Field again!

Outstanding views, lovely location. The owner Paul had kindly left out fruit and various sundries for our convenience. The apartment was delightful with a very comfortable bed. The various pottery items, in and around the property, created by Paul and his father, added an extra personal touch.
