The owner and the staff were some of the warmest and kindest people I've ever met, so welcoming, genuinely friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. The owner even gifted each of us beautiful bukhoor before we left and waved us goodbye until we were out of sight. It felt like leaving family. They went out of their way to help us find an adapter we needed, and little touches like complimentary coffee and dates always available at the reception made us feel incredibly at home. The terrace offers a stunning view which is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring or for enjoying sunrise. The guesthouse itself is impeccably clean, tastefully decorated in traditional Omani style, and has everything you could possibly need. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of old Nizwa. You can easily walk to the souq, the fort, and all the main attractions. It’s also just a short stroll from where the Mwasalat Muscat–Nizwa buses drop you off. This was truly one of the most memorable stays of my life. The hospitality, the atmosphere, the comfort...everything was perfect. I will absolutely stay here again when I return to Nizwa. Highly, highly recommended!

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. If you’re visiting Nizwa, we’d definitely recommend staying at the Omani Guest House. We spent two nights in Nizwa: one at the Omani Guest House and one at another traditional inn - and we much preferred the Omani Guest House. The main reason was Ali, the owner, and all the amazing staff. They were very welcoming and friendly, which made our stay really enjoyable. The location of the guesthouse is perfect, right by Nizwa Souq, so everything from cafes to restaurants is just a short walk away. The rooms have a lovely traditional decor, and our room was very comfortable and quiet. We would definitely return.

The house is beautiful, the rooftop is the most beautiful one we have seen in Oman. The owner is superfriendly, the breakfast was really good and the location perfect for visiting the mountains, Misfah, Jabreen, Bahla... Really recommended!

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Beautifully renovated classic Omani house. It was our favourite place we stayed during our trip in Oman, and hope to be back again soon. Great dinner and incredible breakfast spread. Owner gave us good local recommendations of what to see in and around Al Hamra. Locally-sourced and all natural soaps in the bathrooms were a perfect added touch. Would recommend this as a must stay for any friends who ask for recommendations for Oman!

The villa is in very good condition.

Muscat International Airport is 226 km away. The property is on the top of the Balcony Walk village. You can see the astonishing view from this property, sit int the big yard or head to the back hill of this property to see the canyon from top with surrounding cute goats. It’s the best location! Even you don’t go the the Balcony Walk hiking, you can just stay at the property and enjoy the view. The property is really well equipped and so clean! With this view, big kitchen, yard and rooms, you can find it that it’s really valuable because the other properties in this area are so expensive. The host, Ibrahim, is really nice, we drive a small car with 4people and find it hard to drive up. I call the host and he ask his friend nearby to come to us in 10mins to help us. Then his friend drive our car with total 5 people and successfully drive us up to the top! it’s an amazing and exciting experience. Thanks for Ibrahim and his friend’s help. (we also learned the skill how to drive on the steep and sand road. Haha. )

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The inn was of mud brick and nicely decorated. Our room was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was lovely and hot. The location was great, near a deserted mud brick village and a date plantation. It was a short walk into town. From the Inn it’s a short drive to Misfah La Abriyyin, which is definitely worth a visit.

Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. This was an unexpected gem, in an unlikely location. You cannot beat it for location, at the start of the Balcony Walk in Jebel Shams. Mohammed the owner organised for his neighbour Ali (and his wife) to cook dinner and breakfast for us. The food was delicious! The house itself is very comfortable and well kitted out, even if you want to self-cater. Thank you for a lovely stay.
