Amazing Desert Experience – Peaceful, Clean, and Unforgettable! I stayed at the desert camp for one night on my own, and it was truly one of the best travel experiences I’ve had. The camp itself was beautifully set up – very clean, peaceful, and with a truly magical atmosphere under the stars. What made the experience even more special was the amazing driver and guide, Ali. He was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire stay. His passion for the desert and local culture really came through, and he made sure everything was perfect. Even though I was traveling alone, I never felt lonely – just completely relaxed and in awe of the stunning surroundings. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable desert experience! And the food was really nice too.

My wife and I began to consider our options as we followed a stranger in a foreign country into the empty desert to stay at a camp we weren’t sure truly existed. Sure, Oman has ridiculously low crime rate, but the possibilities of what awaited us were endless. After a 20 minute drive through bedouin camps and an empty sea of sand we were relieved to find the camp as pictured on the site. However, shortly after setting up for bed, the camp was hit by a storm which was extremely rare to the area. I stood there for 30 minutes holding the pole of the tent from inside, so it didn’t collapse on us, as the rain and wind pattered the canvas. If I could go back in time to the moment we started our journey… I would do it a million times over. Thousand Stars is a passion project started by Ali and his companion, and cared for by a truly honorable and wonderful caretaker - Sadam. It is not a 5 star resort run by a board of trustees with millions of investment dollars. It is 3 men, who put their blood sweat and tears into each and every night. We started the evening off by having tea, coffee and fruits with Ali and discussing life. Shortly after, Ali ensured we were comfortable and left us to be. We were the only couple there that night so we had the whole camp to ourselves. There are usually 2-3 tents available per night. My wife and I spent some time chatting under the moonlight, but called it early as we saw a storm approaching. Sadam was working hard to cover the dining tent with a tarp so that we could be comfortable while eating dinner. The storm came, and yes, there was a short bit of time where I had to hold the tent up but this was no fault of the camp - just nature. Despite the storm, Sadam trekked over to our tent from his to make sure we were ok. Right after the storm ended I heard the roar of a car. It was Ali again, who drove all the way back just to make sure everything was ok.

We really loved this experience! It's only us who been in camp, so we felt special. We ordered shuttle service (it's expensive given the fact that distance is small), dune bashing - it was really cool!, camel sunset ride (I agree with all reviewers that price is high for such activity) but we really loved it! Dinner was exceptional! bad is comfy and nice! Salim was our driver and we enjoyed his company (his english can be better though)

Com vista da montanha, Arab desert camp localiza-se em Al Raka e possui acesso Wi-Fi gratuito. Existe uma casa de banho privativa totalmente equipada com bidé e produtos de higiene pessoal gratuitos. What a lovely experience! From the first greet with Muhammad to the drive back to our car. We were treated exemplarly and the guys made us feel like home. Even though it was our first desert experience. We totally recommend them! We booked the dinner and it was a buffet which they already told us before booking it. It was plenty of food and so delicious. The bed was so comfy and everything was clean. Thank you very much for your hospitality. 🙏🏽

Apresentando vista da montanha em Badīyah, SandGlass Camp apresenta acomodações e comodidades para churrascos. O campo é abastecido a luz solar, pelo que é muito silencioso (sem barulho de geradores). Os funcionários são muito atenciosos e proporcionam bons momentos de convívio. As refeições foram óptimas e não nos faltou nada. Vimos camelos, o pôr-do-sol nas dunas e estrelas à noite!

Wahiba Bedouiens privae Camp encontra-se em Muntarib, na região de Al Sharqiyah, e apresenta acomodações com estacionamento privado gratuito. Hamad and Hassan were very funny and sweet. We had a lovely time by the fire. Hassan cooked great food for dinner and breakfast. Good value compared with some other places considering dinner and breakfast is included. Room is very comfy, we slept great. Good location, feels very cosy. Hamad is Bedouin and he has some beautiful artefacts to show you and talk about. Make sure you bring cash to pay.

Nomadic Desert Camp situa-se em Al Wāşil. O alojamento dispõe de estacionamento privado gratuito e um balcão de turismo. Toalhas e roupa de cama são providenciadas nesta tenda de luxo. A beautiful camp in a beautiful location. If you're looking to go quad biking and other obnoxious activities this isn't the place for you. Abdullah and his team run an authentic camp oasis in the dunes, with delicious food and copious amounts of coffee and dates. The sunrise camel ride was fantastic and is a must do. The camp staff are the loveliest people you will meet in Oman and they also have the best sense of humour. If you're looking to experience the desert properly then this is the place for you.
