I stayed at the desert camp for one night on my own, and it was truly one of the best travel experiences I’ve had. The camp itself was beautifully set up – very clean, peaceful, and with a truly magical atmosphere under the stars. What made the experience even more special was the amazing driver and guide, Ali. He was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire stay. His passion for the desert and local culture really came through, and he made sure everything was perfect. Even though I was traveling alone, I never felt lonely – just completely relaxed and in awe of the stunning surroundings. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable desert experience! And the food was really nice too.

The calm and voluptuousness of the desert, the quiet steps of majestic dromedaries and the beauty of the starry sky were our backdrop. The refined welcome, the comfortable surroundings, the beauty of the camp with just two luxurious tents, the kindness of the team and, last but not least, the quality of the cuisine did the rest. We had an amazing experience to sleep in the middle of the desert. The tent has everything you need. The bed is big and the bathroom is equipped with everything and it’s a nice experience to go to the bathroom at night and see the stars. We also had dinner and I would recommend it. It was delicious and after that we had a camp fire with marshmallows and guitar songs. The staff is amazing and very friendly. I recommend to stay here for an awesome Oman desert experience.

Amazing experience. Left our vehicle at meeting point and paid for return trip transport which was definitely the right choice. Others who drove themselves found driving on the sand and changing road challenging and followed us out on departure. All the staff were great and really wanted everyone to have the best experience. Sunsets from the dunes, tent accommodation, food all great. Didn’t try the shower set up, very basic. Tour to the Bedouin house, camels on the roadside, expert driving through and down the dunes, night time scorpion walk - all amazing. We missed the part in the communications where payment was cash only at time of departure but were able to go to an ATM on our return to the meeting place and take care of payments

The hospitality and warmth of the people here takes all the credit. The tents were good and had comfortable beds. Very well setup. The food was good especially the morning Kadak chai. It was a very good stay and experience. Special mentions to Badar who was such a fun guy. He also took us for a drift in his 4x4. He is a very happy jolly person. Very good host.

He organized an interesting unique accommodation in the desert, he organized a delicious traditional dinner and breakfast. And he also managed to create an atmosphere of friendship and unity between the residents. People from different countries gathered for dinner, breakfast and just casually and shared their impressions. Said is an interesting, positive, smart person who makes sure that his clients have fun and are interested! I would like to separately note that in the evenings it is great to sit by the fire, tell and listen to stories and admire the stars in the desert. This experience is priceless. Thank you very much. I highly recommend this desert camp!

We absolutely loved our stay at Wahiba Bedouins private camp, it more than exceeded our expectations. We spent two nights at the camp as part of a 2 1/2 week trip to Oman. We were met in town by Muhammad, the brother of the camp owner, who is very proud of the camp. We followed him in our 4x4 as he escorted us to camp. Upon arrival we were taken to the sun shelter and were served coffee, dates and refreshments. There was always plenty of food and drink for our entire stay. The camp consists of two guest tents, a dining tent, daytime sun shelter, kitchen tent and bathroom shelter with shower. Everything is done in a traditional way and is spotlessly clean. Muhammad is justifiably proud of his camp and how it is run. We also met Hasan at the camp. He is the camp cook but does much more than that. Hasan has a very engaging personality and always has a smile on his face. He regaled us with stories and answered any questions we had. Did I mention he is an outstanding cook! we enjoyed some of the best meals on our trip at the camp including a camel biryani (sorry vegetarians, plenty of veggie options as well). We chose this camp because it is small and we really wanted to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the desert, and that is exactly what we experienced. another highlight was an excursion to Muhammad’s village/oasis where he has a house and they have date palm trees, mango and other fruit trees, as well as grow alfalfa for the goats and camels. The visit was another highlight as was driving amongst the dunes in the desert. Thanks to Muhammad and Hasan for a truly memorable experience.

The whole experience was faultless. It is a family run business, created by the father who died only 2 years ago and was a much loved desert conservationist and guide. We were beautifully looked after from the moment of pick up in Muscat by Abdullah for whom no request was too much trouble to our arrival in camp. He acts as the best guide, so you see and experience the very best of Omani hospitality. Rasheed manages the business and Hamid runs the camp very well to maken sure our desert experience is unique. We were lucky to have the whole desert camp to ourselves for the two nights, so we enjoyed private sundowners and stargazing without any interruptions! prompt morning pick-ups took us to a delicious breakfast in the main Nomandic camp. The whole camp has been thoughtfully designed to fit into the landscape with a totally natural feel. The tents are lined in colourful carpets to retain local design feel and comfortable beds. The camp is unique in every way and well worth the adventure. It is completely authentic. The whole team speak excellent english and Abdullah has a terrific sense of humour. We could not recommend a stay there more highly.
