The shower had hot water, which was wonderful considering our last place didn’t. The home is beautiful, with a very large dining table. There’s an outdoor area, too. We didn’t really make use of it, but it was nice. It was a block from the main street and a short walk to laundry. Laura and Sergio were so friendly and accommodating. They told us how to get to a trail we wanted to hike, and where to see the best view of the sunset. They gave us recommendations for restaurants, too. We even had a great game of Dutch Blitz with Sergio (he won…beginner’s luck 😉😆). The breeze coming through the windows was so refreshing. We appreciated the use of the main area and the fridge. There were other guests there but we didn’t really see or hear them. It was very quiet and serene. The grounds are very pretty, and you can’t beat the setting, with mountains all around. It was a great stay! I would definitely stay here again. 100%. Valle de Anton is my favourite place so far.

T and T was a great get-away with wonderful hosts, great breakfasts, and terrific location on the beach with little tables and chairs where you could sit and read without getting all sandy. We really liked the communal feel while having privacy in our air-conditioned room. We had a private bathroom outside our room. Wine, beer, and snacks were available basically at cost so very convenient. Water available and a fridge. The ocean water was great for swimming and floating with mild waves and a sandy bottom. Pascal offered a great massage and Vincent good humor. Restaurant and beach bar right next door that you can reach by sand or by road. Value was excellent.

Loved the attention to detail for things that were important, such as fly screens, kitchen utensils and appliances, ear plugs to block out the barking of neighbourhood dogs (ubiquitous throughout Latin America) and the place was very clean. Debra was so friendly, communication was easy. The location is great, close to the spectacular India Dormida hike. I would be very happy to stay again next time!

We slept so well, surrounded by the birds chirping and the sound of the wind. We fed the birds daily and we managed to see quite a variety of them, including the mesmerising toucan. Patricia was a very kind host, always available with information and recommendations.

Located in Valle de Anton, 45 km from Santa Clara, Casa Grimaldo provides a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi. There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. Location was very good, property was beautiful, friendly and accomodating staff, room was simple but provided everything we needed.

Location was excellent, with comfortable beds and all the required amenities in good working order. Perfect for our 3 night stay. It’s a 5 min walk to a good size supermarket, 15 mins to the main ‘downtown’ Avenida with restaurants and the mercado. 3 amazing hikes to the top of the ancient caldera, and the butterfly farm is a must see. We were able to park our car inside their gate, and the home is a 15 min walk to access one of the 3 primary hikes in the area, India Dormida. Jose and his partner, Liz, are wonderful hosts, and made us feel like family. The breakfast is simple and filling, and we could use their fridge and also made a meal or two using the kitchen facilities. Jose and Liz are gracious hosts and Jose is very witty. They made our time there a truly fun and memorable experience. Communication was excellent, in English and Spanish, despite my spouse and I having very limited Spanish language skills. Local knowledge, tips, and recommendations on things to do in the area were great and super appreciated. Finally, Jose joined us on one of our hikes and he made it super fun and interesting with his knowledge of local flora and fauna. Exceptional overnight! Delightful pool and patio and the most delicious breakfast by the pool… homemade bread and jams, crepes, abundant fresh fruit, excellent eggs, and the hosts were so very nice! And accommodating! This was our favorite place to overnight in Panama!!!

The place gave us a very relaxing atmosphere, We actually had the beach for ourselves .It is a very private and quite place . You have to cross the street to get to the beach but this is a non issue since it is a private narrow street for the residents only. Breakfast is basic but I expected to get this kind of breakfast here. The room is good and specious , shower is very good , A/C is very good . One of the staff persons cleaned up and set up the beds on a daily basis. The owners and the staff were very helpful regarding any question we asked.
