Richar, Lucrezia and Isabella are very lovely people and very generous hosts. Richar told us about the island and showed us around, Lucrezia’s cooking is truly wonderful and Isabella is a very nice girl, who would play cards with us in the evening. The rooms are very clean, there is a hot shower and it’s an easy walk from the port of Amantani. The island itself is so peaceful and tranquil, a perfect rest. At night the stars are magestic with Milky Way visible with naked eye. I would highly recommend staying at Richar’s place to experience the magic of the island in its authenticity. Also, from what I’ve read it is much better for the families who live on the island to book a stay directly with them rather than through an agency.

The bed and breakfast provides mountain views, a sun terrace and a 24-hour front desk. Wonderful place. Our hosts were inpecable, and the island is a magical place. Would recommend for anyone to at least spend a night in Taquiles; a 2 hour tour simply is not enough.

This old house is turned into a small hotel business with a great ambience. The family that runs it is really helpful and kind. They even have me lunch package for on the road when I left. This hotel is a must-stay for when you are visiting Puno.

I had a really special stay, dare I say a spiritual experience on the 8th of the 8th. Communication with Jose Louis and family was great from beginning to end, there were enough activities offered to make the most of the time, with also opportunities for peaceful solo time. Pilan’s cooking is incredible. Highlights were the sunset from the mountain, joining in the community dancing and fire ceremonies in the plaza and just the general chats with the family around the dinner table with the other guests. I felt so welcomed, warm and at ease - this was my home away from home for a night, I wish I could’ve stayed longer. It takes special kind of people to make you feel this was so thank you Jose Louis and Pilan and family for welcoming us to your beautiful home.

Host family was very friendly and helped us organize boat tours and taxi rides. Very relaxing stay. Home cooked meals were delicious.

All rooms are equipped with a balcony with views of the garden. Staying at Sariri Lodge was one of the most interesting experiences of our trip to Peru and Bolovia. We were warmly welcomed by Isaac and his wife. They did everything to help us feeling confortable. The boat trip and fishing trip with Isaac (included in the price) is even better than the standard tours to Taquile or to Isla del Sol. I loved every moment here. The room is clean, spacious, with the best sunset view. Dinner and breakfast were excellent.

The rooms overlook a patio and, most importantly, the lake view is heavenly. Sophia is an incredible person, who will do everything to pamper you and share her culture, especially her delicious cuisine. A must-do excursion on this peaceful island steeped in history.

Featuring mountain and lake views, this apartment also has free WiFi. The accommodation provides a shuttle service, while a bicycle rental service is also available. We like it a lot the apartment. Contemporary with a nice kitchen and dining area. On the second floor is a living room with an impressive view of the lake. Beds they are big and comfortable. Mother and son are the owners. The son was always available. To order a taxi, take us to the store or the chicken restaurant nearby. He was close to us and early in the morning to see us off and make sure everything was ok. Great guys. Highly recommend!
