Excellent apartment right in the center of Lamego. Very nice set up with a kitchen open living room separate bedroom and spacious bath. Modern completely renovated facilities in an old building with views of the castle. Very close to the Douro and port region. Lots to visit and see just outside the door! Wish we could have stayed there longer!!

Located in Mesão Frio, a 35-minute drive from Lamego, Imaginário d´El Rei features a seasonal outdoor pool and sun terrace. Stunning location, amazing facilities, and great host. Can't ask for more 😀

Overlooking the scenic Douro River Valley, Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food is set in a historic country house and surrounded by a garden and vineyards. It was an authentic quinta experience. The property has nice views of the valley. The dinners and breakfasts were great. Generous food and wine/port, and the family style dinners offered the opportunity to get to know other guests. The weather was poor, so we couldn’t really enjoy the lovely outdoor spaces, but we were compensated with a great fire in the main room before and after dinner.

We loved the reception by Mrs Julia, who was very kind and friendly. She gave us tips on restaurants nearby. We also enjoyed the wineyard at the bottom of the hotel and that we were allowed to walk around at any time. The place is very calm and quiet, perfect for a escape from the city hustle and bustle. Mr Jose was also of extreme kindness setting us up with a lovely boat tour through Douro on my bday. We had just asked where we could arrange for the tour and he went all the way calling the person and helping us organize. Breakfast was delicious and all the staff was really attentive. We highly recommend a stay with them!

Our hostess Fernando was amazing. The accommodation was spot on, and a swim in the pool looking out over the vineyards was a highlight. Best stay of our trip.
