This B&B is on the shore of Lake Mälaren, 10 km from Strängnäs and about 1 hour's drive from Stockholm city centre. It offers free Wi-Fi and private parking. The location was wonderful....pretty scenery, quiet country atmosphere, but still close to town. Breakfast included a nice selection of items and the common area in the upstairs where we stayed had everything a guest could want....refigerator, freezer, cooktop, TV, sofa and chairs for lounging or visiting with friends or family. The internet worked really well and we appreciated that there was a parking area that was free to guests.

This renovated barn house is located in the peaceful countryside close to Lake Mälaren, just 6 km from Strängnäs. Free WiFi internet and private parking are included in all rates. All the staff are lovely, feeding the animals is lovely, the surrounding is lovely, definitely recommend!

We chose this alternative because as a family (2+2) we wanted to try a traditional Swedish house instead of a classic hotel or hostel. In the end, our choice turned out to be strategically excellent. We rented a car at the airport Skavsta (85 km from house) and were able to visit also other locations than just Stockholm (e.g. Drottningholm, Mariefred, Vasteras, Eskilstuna, Orebro). The accommodation is nicely furnished, clean, with a sufficiently equipped kitchen. In the kitchen, you also have ground coffee, tea and other small things that can be useful when preparing breakfast. The host provided us with information about the arrival in advance, everything went completely smoothly. We also liked that bed linen and towels were included in the price, which is not common in Swedish houses that are rented out by accommodation companies and you have to pay for them separately. We highly recommend this accommodation to families. Due to the cold and rainy weather, we didn't use the yard, grill or sauna, but everything is there...

Very convenient location for hiking the Sörmlandsleden. Apartment located in a very nice old villa, very calm and private setting. Apartment had everything we needed to cook some breakfast and a fridge to store our picnic food and drinks. Wonderful bakery next door with magnificent bread and pastries. Landlady very friendly and welcoming.

This was a beautiful place well thought out with all the things you could want. The hosts were extremely thoughtful and left homemade and local produce for you to enjoy. There were games for the kids and basic cupboard staples. The location was great, woodlands, lakes, and shops. We all really enjoyed our stay and couldn't recommend this place enough.

The cottage was spacious, clean and comfortable with a lovely kitchen. We enjoyed the pool and relaxing in the beautiful countryside. Douglas and Michaela were very friendly and helpful. Our kids loved meeting the dogs and goats. It’s a short drive into Malmköping for pizza and groceries, plus a unique ice cream café within walking distance. We would definitely recommend this property!
