Also there are events every weekend at the centre, concerts, and night food market on wednesdays. We spent the Songkran here it was amazing, such an experience! Cha-am has really good restaurants and a few really good places to eat around. it's literally next to the beach, you can listen to the waves from the balcony on your apartment. The apartments have all the amenities you might need, and all the workers and neighbours are lovely and friendly. We will definitely come back!
