Located in Jiufen, 34 km from Taipei, Sunshine B&B features air-conditioned rooms and free private parking. The view was fantastic, and the room was exceptionally clean and spacious! While carrying our bags up to level 3 was a bit challenging, it wasn’t a major issue. We absolutely loved our stay! The family running the hotel were incredibly friendly and lovely, making the experience even better.

Boasting a terrace with overlooking sea views, 九份龍門客棧 l 近老街 l 含早餐 is ideally located only a 1-minute walk from Jiufen Old Street and 10-minute walk from Keelung Long Distance Bus Stop. The breakfast view was stunning. And we felt very welcome by everyone, highly recommend.

The venue is so close to the old street, and the scenery is so good, basically you can chill out on the sofa and relax.

The host is lovely—she gave us many recommendations, ensured we knew what trains to take for our outings, gave us small gifts and goodies, offered to help us get laundry washed, and provided flexibility with check in and check out. All this she did with patience and a smile, even though we could not speak Mandarin and had to rely on translation apps. The location is excellent—walking distance to several buses and trains to nearby Jiufen, Shifen Waterfall, Bitoujiao, Keelung, and other great spots. The room itself is quiet, comfortable, and spacious with great lighting. It seems very clean and modern, with nothing out of date and everything functioning perfectly. It is well-appointed and nicely laid out. Guests have access to water, a refrigerator, a tea kettle, coffee, and fast/consistent WiFi. The toiletries and soaps were luxury, and we took note of the shower gel in particular so we can buy it to take home. This place is exceptional value, easy to book and find, and offered us complete privacy and autonomy. The host provided great communication from our initial booking until we said goodbye. Overall we give this hotel our highest recommendation—it was our favorite hotel of the 4 we stayed in on our visit throughout the island. The next time we come to the Taipei area, we will stay here.

And the room, wow, just wow, talk about comfortable. Breakfast hit the spot, perfectly fueling our adventures. We're already planning our return trip. This place set the bar high for future vacations.

This was the place we felt most ‘looked after’ in our seven weeks in Taiwan. Hosts very engaged in making sure that everything was going well and making great suggestions for things to see and places to eat.
