The host greeted us upon our arrival late at night and happily shared about all the exceptional amenities. Beautiful shared space for a short stay with a beautiful ocean view and access to an inviting swimming pool. We did not make the time to enjoy the pool on this visit; next time. The space was well organized with bins to store food items and access to fridge space on a nice outdoor veranda overlooking plush trees and a spectacular view of the ocean. Thank you for a wonderful first stop on the island. Great first impression!

It’s definitely not the standard bed and breakfast. The owner is very attentive to make your stay comfortable and provides all those kind of stuff and treats that can help you feel at home. The house is very clean, even the shared bathroom. You have access to the living room to watch tv or make yourself some tea/coffe or you can rest in the porch. Breakfast is every day a surprise, prepared with fresh ingredients and creativity.

The property is spacious, beautifully maintained, and offers everything you need for a perfect stay. The rooms were spotless, and all the amenities were top-notch. The property is absolutely wonderful. Nice, natural landscaping that let's you feel immersed in the Hawaiian rainforest. Feels very secluded and private, while also feeling safe and welcoming. Its walking distance to a black sand, clothing optional, beach. I will definitely book here again when visiting the Big Island. I would feel safe here as a solo traveler. Stephen greeted us when we arrived to the property and was so welcoming. I immediately felt at ease in his presence. He gave us a tour and showed us to our rooms, let us know how to reach him if we needed anything. Our smoke alarm was going off one night and he came right over, checked it out and swapped the battery, fixing the problem. I traveled with a friend and we each had separate rooms. The house feels more home like, relaxing front porch, solid wood furniture, and everything you'd need. Both rooms were clean and beds comfortable. At first, I thought my bed may be too soft, but I slept SO good and woke with no pains, feeling refreshed, so it must have been just right. Bath and beach towels were in our rooms, a bathrobe, a list of hosted and local activities we may be interested in, and a little bowl of snacks too. I also appreciated they had sunscreen and bug spray available.

Relax in the hot tub and watch the stars and the Milky Way! Troy is a great host too, responsive and helpful. Ocean View Paradise is a calm oasis and a great home base to some of the greatest beaches in this world and volcano national Park. There are also supermarkets, restaurants and food trucks close by as well as coffee plantations for your morning coffee. We will come back if we can!

It has a great location, close to the city center and the airport. The rooms are tastefully decorated and cozy. The exceptionally friendly landlord is always available to provide helpful tips on dining and sightseeing. The garden is a well-maintained tropical paradise, and breakfast on the terrace is simply heavenly. Everything is wonderful and invites you to stay longer. Definitely worth a visit! It’s completely off grid and still super cute, cozy, and comfortable with everything we needed. This was the perfect spot to stay while exploring Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. I highly recommend staying here!

The location was great, it’s close to the centre but you’re far away that you can also enjoy the silence of the sea.
