Old City Market is 650 metres away and the College of Charleston is 150 metres from the inn. We had an excellent stay at Barksdale House Inn. Breakfasts were tasty and filling. The Inn was close to everything we wanted to see in Charleston. The staff were very friendly and we appreciated the opportunity to store our luggage after checkout as we weren’t leaving til late afternoon. We would stay at the Barksdale House Inn again.

Daily complimentary wine and cheese reception is offered. This was our second visit. We love it here. Quiet, secluded and comfortable. Big thank you to Mary and Darlene! Rooms are spotless. Lovely big walk in shower. Comfortable beds. Plenty of charging points and free strong WIFI. Beautiful private courtyard to relax and dine in full of magnolias and wildlife. Lovely extensive continental breakfast. In all perfect.
