what a unexpected beautiful experience! I needed somewhere to break up my drive & stumbled upon this place. it’s basically a BnB style. your hosts Jose & Sylvia are so lovely! what a beautiful house! I’m glad that even with my beginners Spanish we could have some conversations together. their garden is just LUSH!!!! and I had even forgotten that it came with breakfast in the morning. I stayed in the 4bed dorm & lhad it all to myself. If you are so lucky to be also greeted with the most delicious brownie I’ve ever had you will give this place a 10/10 also! they were just the most loveliest of hosts, just down to really little things that made me feel so welcomed as a person travelling by themself. some points of info * it is a person’s house in a small town off the beaten track. I had a car so it was easy to get to. * there is a supermarket & small restaurant (closes at 8pm) literally 5 min walk away & felt more than safe enough * towels provided * saw an ant eater in the evening in the garden whilst having my dinner * I had a beautiful home cooked soufflé & fresh fruits for the morning * bathroom inside the 4 dorm room * fridge inside the 4 dorm room

Absolutely fantastic, the cabins are lovely, bed comfy and the owners first class. The restaurant has great food and is brilliant value. We sat out the front of our cabin and watched toucans flying in and out of the trees! Howler monkeys in the background. Breakfast was an added bonus. Brilliant value for money, we would have paid more. We could have easily spent a few days just sitting watching the wildlife in really comfortable surroundings.

Wow !!!! this lodge is unbelievable…. the cabanas are sooooooo beautiful!!! the surrounding area full of nature, top quality products like shampoo, body was are offered. I highly recommend this place.

We just stayed for one night while traveling but we would have stayed longer had we known the place before! Klaus is an amazingly friendly host. He took a lot of time to show us the property, served excellent breakfast and offered dinner and was all around pleasant. The guest house is well built and comfortable. There is a lot of forest in the area that you can probably go hiking in (we haven't tried given the brevity of our stay).

Beautifully decorated and equipped cabaña with good shower ( hot/cold) and fridge. Very comfy. The balcony ( 2 sides) is just fantastic - tranquil setting, perfect for relaxing or birdwatching. On top the best typical breakfast of my several weeks CR trip. Karen is very attentive and tries to make the stay a memorable one. For the Guapiles area certainly the best choice.

This was an absolutely lovely place for our first night in Costa Rica! Charming little place by the river, with a small but beautiful garden. We were delighted to see the red eyed tree frogs in the garden, and their eggs hanging from a leaf above the pond. The garden and the whole grounds are full of beautiful flowers and plants and the place has a feel of a piece of paradise. Our hostess was super nice. Breakfast was excellent albeit somewhat on the smallish size. The view in the morning, when we discovered that our cabins are right on the cliff overlooking the river - was stunning! The cabins are rustic, but the sheets were clean and there was warm-to-hot water (depending on the strength of the flow). All in all highly recommended!
