Last year we stayed in Janske Lazne and cycled past the "Hotel Vydrovy boudy Pec pod Sněžkou", and we said, next time we come to Pec we have to stay there. And we just stayed there, as a family of four and our dog. What do we love about it ? The location is magnificent, it is on the plateau at the top of the mountain, you feel like you are on top of the world, it is a recently built mountain chalet, and done in a beautiful style, we had the half board and the breakfast and evening meal were absolutely perfect. The hotel is run by the owner who is very friendly and very helpful with local knowledge, where to hike, where to stop for lunch. In the evening you have beautiful sunsets with views which stretch for tens of miles, at night there is a quietness which cannot be matched. We need to explore Pec more, and we will be staying here again next time and using it as our base. What more to say, Hotel Vydrovy boudy Pec pod Sněžkou is a gem, enjoy it.

Bouda Krakonos was very cozy after the reconstruction, we liked that everything was wooden - that gives it a nice close-to-nature style. The staff were just AMAZING. Immediately after we arrived, we were given the key to our room and instructions and everyone was so nice and welcoming - we felt like visiting a family. There were two waiters, both looking after us nicely, the lady-cook who was coming out of the kitchen often (when free of course) chatting with guests and the rest of the staff was also amazing. We had a lot of laugh with everyone. You could tell the entire staff are like family, the atmosphere was just exceptionally warm and friendly (yet respectful). The food was simply delicious. We had the soup “kyselo” and the “potato pancakes” and both were like heaven in mouth. We also had a dog with us and everyone loved her, too.

Very clean and a well kept, small cozy apartment for a couple. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could ever need, from cookware to utensils. The bed is comfy. The bathroom is simple and works great. The owners supply the apartment with all the necessities. Check-ins and check-outs are swift without problems. We spent 2 nights and we're thinking of booking again some other time in the future. Honestly felt like home, pretty interior, would recommend, 10/10.
