Killaran House is warm and welcoming from the outside. It is a pretty yellow with a bright red door, and red sign, which helped identify it when coming home. The inside offered a sitting room with a television and an adequate dining area for guests. Upstairs the rooms were big and clean, and the beds were comfortable. A highlight of the house was that it had a television that offered far more channels than any other site we stayed. It was nice to find movies and sit-coms easily and even CNN. It was close to activities and restaurants. It was very quiet, and we only saw the host when she gave us our keys. Breakfast was good and offered both warm and cold selections. They were the only restaurant that we went to that offered pancakes. They were delicious and came with a wonderful fruit sauce. They were very accommodating with breakfast times. We enjoyed a nice quiet and comfortable stay at Killaran House.

Where to start? This was simply excellent in every respect. Whilst I thought this guest house was a little pricey, the memories will remain long after the bill has been paid. Tina made me feel very welcome indeed and put me in a lovely room. Killarney can be a vibrant town but my room was very quiet. The bed, pillows and linen were just so comfortable. The room was so elegant, beautifully furnished and in keeping with the essence of Foley’s Townhouse, which to me, is quiet, refined elegance. The location is perfect. The staff are so lovely, quiet, efficient, friendly and just so good at what they all do, a huge credit to themselves and Foley’s. The breakfast was simply fabulous. A cooked to order full Irish for me but a lovely continental buffet as well. In summary……fabulous and well worth every penny!

What an exceptionally lovely place to stay. It just vibed so right. Plush comfy bed and bedding. Amazing brekkie with local produce. Do not miss the home made bread! And nice convos with proprietors. I am going to try to visit Killarney again just to stay at Gleann Fia Country House again.

Our second visit to this rather magical place, where the welcome is genuine and warm in excellent rooms with great WiFi, a fabulous restaurant, excellent facilities. and excellent parking. We were greeted like family by "Jersey" the barman and welcomed to an excellent room by Eileen and her team. Nicely positioned for the Ring of Kerry and the drive round Slea Head. The absolute icing on the cake, was the kindness of the lady on reception who helped to clean the sand from many beaches, out of the footwells on the hire-car, with her Henry Hoover! Service absolutely above and beyond kind.

We are both regular visitors to Killarney and have stayed in numerous hotels for our visits. This time our break away was longer, so we were very lucky to have found Anthony’s apartment on booking.com, as all the other apartments were all booked out. The comfort, facilities and location were perfect for us both. Many thanks to Anthony’s house keeper who had the apartment so clean and organised. The location was ideal, in a quiet area but within easy distance of the town centre and its amenities. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice which was delivered very quickly. The owners and staff were all very helpful

The breakfast was lovely and the beds comfy. Great facilities. And a smart t.v. The location was excellent for exploring and only a few minutes walk to the town. Staff were friendly and the room was spotless clean.I would highly recommend staying here as its budget friendly too.
