We really enjoyed the opportunity to stay with a warm, welcoming family. Vijeesh helped us see everyday life inside this small community - so much better than busier, touristy places up the coast. I had a wonderful stay with a warm, welcoming family! I was well taken care of throughout my visit. The room was cozy and clean, and the food was absolutely amazing. They provided plenty of information and recommendations on where to go and what to do—from a morning boat tour to kayak and bicycle rentals, plus laundry facilities, everything you need was available. Keep in mind that the homestay is a bit remote, further from the main river, but I found this to be an advantage. It allowed me to rent a kayak and explore the small canals easily. Additionally, the homestay is within walking distance from the train station—if you choose to walk, follow the road near the temple.

Lovely quit place, all new and clean. With really nice food, and very helpful and sweet Deepa and her lovely parents. Deepa speaks good English, knows all and arranges what we wanted. We enjoyed everything!
