Very quiet fishing village. Equally dark at night for beautiful night sky The hosts were very friendly giving directions. They also invited us for a night cap and some snacks. The language barrier was no problem with a few basics in Japanese.

The host was so friendly and accommodating. we wished we had stayed here for more than a day. The kids were so attracted to the Atari TV game console and it brought back such fond memories for us. House was super clean and modern, and well equipped. we loved the comfort of sleeping on plush futons in the tatami bedrooms. Unit was only 3 minutes from a huge super mart. Highly recommended.

I booked a room last moment due to a change of plans, and I'm glad it turned out like that! The surrounding is magical, with lots of rice fields and old traditional houses. If you're lucky you might also be able to see fireflies at night! However, the best part of staying here was getting to know the host. Such an interesting lifestyle and definitely lot's of things to learn from him. I'd recommend the experience to everyone.
