The hosts were super nice! We arrived late so we chose to have dinner in - they cooked us an amazing dinner and prepared a breakfast package for the next day, so we could leave early. The room is not too big, but was perfect for one night and was very comfortable :) Adams peak was also quite close by car :)

The property is located on a quiet section of the lake, the only sound is birds and leaves in the wind. The views from the bedroom are spectacular. This is definitely a spot for nature lovers. Don’t be deceived by the odd little path to the house, it is well worth it. Priyanga, who manages the property is one of the most lovely people you will meet. Do not skip breakfast or dinner, he makes fantastic food. Priyanga goes the extra mile in assisting with arranging tuk tuks for the early morning climb. His trusty companion Tommy (the neighbours dog) was also exceptionally sweet. This has by far been our favourite stay in Sri Lanka, we actually extended an additional night. The new water heater actually generates hot water which is great after climbing Sri Padaya.

Hamantha is a wonderful owner. He will provide you with insights and guide you to the best places! His English is very good which makes it easy to have conversation about any topic. The Homestay has a 20 year old guess book with National Geographic in it. I had my own bathroom and enough privacy. just a tip: make sure to take the 2nd blanket that you are being offered. Sometimes in the night it can get cold.

The staff were very attentive and helpful with everything. They offered meals and helped organize a driver. The rooms are on the second floor, opening to a shared balcony with views of the lake and Adam’s Peak in the distance. Stayed here to climb Adam’s Peak which was a 30 minute tuktuk drive away. The staff at the hotel organized this for us to complete the climb before sunrise.

This place was incredible. Absolutely amazing. The facilities were firstly incredible. You could use the kitchen and they had free tea and coffee. The views are unbelievable and the owner and staff are so kind and lovely. You feel so safe there. We didn't leave the place for 2 days it was that nice.
