1. Beautiful cabañas - new, spotlessly clean, decorated to perfection, with attention to every detail. There was even a plant in the room :) air con and also a fan, safety deposit box, big mirror; patio to seat outside; 2. Great pool to chill; 3. Amazing restaurant (I had carbonara, as I craved for something that reminded me home) and it was great; 4. Lovely hosts and all staff - I woke up early and one of the staff saw me and brought me coffe to my cabaña 😍; If you go to Las Peñitas, don't think twice - and if rooms will be avaiable, book straight away, you will not find anything better in town.

Quiet located, at a nice part of the beach. Spacious, clean and well equipped rooms. Nice common area with a variety of cozy chairs and some hammocks. Extremely good service... very friendly and helpful owner and stuff (especially the guys from check-in and night-security). A good place to stay!

If you are in Leon take the time to spend a few days at Las Peñitas at Nuevo NAYAL! It’s stunning and beautifully designed. Everything feels new! The spanish couple who set up this place are so kind and welcoming. They have created a true oasis to escape the heat of the city and I couldn’t have had a better 3 nights stay here to round off my trip in Nicaragua. The food is brilliant as well at the restaurant. I ate all my meals there as they were too good! And the staff went out of their way to help me with laundry and tours etc. It’s definitely one of the best, if not the best place to stay in Las Penitas.

Incredible location on the beach and close to good restaurants and bars. Huge separate covered terrace for eating, drinking and relaxing (and watching the sun set). Lovely garden. Great sized rooms and good layout. Helpful staff onsite. All very clean

Dorms are large and clean with ensuite washroom and shower. Kitchen to use is well equipped and clean. Common area with tables and hammocks. Quiet area of town. 5 min walk to either of the beaches. Bicycles available for use to explore the area. Shops nearby carry basic groceries, if you want anything special stock up in Leon ahead of time. Restaurants within walking distance if you don't feel like cooking. The owners are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area, where to rent a good surfboard and spots to surf. They are always willing to help out with anything you need to make your stay the best. Fluent in English , French and Spanish. Gaston the dog is the best. He's extremely chill and friendly.

The lodge offers amazing views of sunsets, a 15km long beach which is almost always completely empty, and amazing cabins directly on the beach with a view of the Pacific ocean. The menu is amazing, especially against the background of the unique location of the lodge; the chefs in the kitchen were very great. The ride to the lodge with a horse carriage is another very special experience.

I loved the sunets and sun rises, location is great! The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Vera and Carolina are doing a really good job with the place, the volunteers were A1 aswell Daniel, Lorcan, and Mark. Samuel and Ivan were good crack aswell behind the bar.

the location is beautiful and the place has a lot of potential and could be really special, its just not quite there yet. the volunteers were all super lovely and the fact that they have a turtle hatchery onsite that runs in the most ethical way possible is great!! best sunsets weve seen and the stars are incredible because the place is so remote. it can also be super peaceful having a large beach all to yourself
