A very cosy flat overlooking a private garden which you have just for yourself.the furniture,the bed,the towels and everything in the flat was top grade. The host was very thoughtful with little presents too! You fell welcome as soon as you arrive.this is one of the best guesthouses we have ever had.

Spacious, stylie, in the heart of the town center (supermarket, bank, public transport etc) special requests met at short notice ,clear days communication with host. The use of a fully equipt and functional kitchen was a rare treat. Best value for money I've ever come across (especially in the middle of December / same day booking)

We stayed 2 weeks over the New Year period and found this to be the perfect hideaway in a very private corner of a beautiful garden. Quiet, clean and comfortable with some lovely personal touches. We appreciated the fresh fruit and chilled water we were left. The owners are super friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble (including waiting up for us after a travel delay). We would highly recommend this accommodation for a visit to this beautiful part of New Zealand. Everything is very accessible- including the supermarket, shops, cafes , pub and train station.

Absolutely loved our stay. Being in the bird sanctuary, being able to do bushwalk and explore everything after everyone was gone was incredible. The whole place, accommodation and staff were exceptional. Being surrounded by Tui’s, ducks etc was fantastic. If you’re a nature lover - you’ll enjoy this place

As a world traveller I have stayed in many places. This one I walked in at instantly felt at home and very happy. Not only was everything spic and span physically but also energetically. There was no sense of many people having been there. The space was clean and clear and spacious just for us. I will always remember this feeling. The decor was bright and light without creating any "imprints" on the mind. Even the soap was not your every day soap but of high standard. The sun shining in over the mountains in the morning created a sense of 'all is well'. There are excellent curtains should you prefer the dark. We stayed here on the way to the south island to be close to the ferry. There is the hum of the motorway way off in the background which did not bother us at all, and I am highly sensitive. The quality of this place, its energy and its setting in the rolling hills I cannot recommend this place high enough, and myself would always come back here when in the area. I would give this place 10 stars if I could.

Loved the beautiful cottage-like studio that overlooks a flower-filled garden with bush on one side. Wish I’d had more time to sit on the patio and listen to the tūī singing! The studio itself is very quiet, comfortable and attractively furnished. Had a blissful sleep in the comfy bed. Appreciated the homemade muesli, yoghurt, preserves and toast for breakfast and real coffee. The lovely hosts welcomed me warmly and offered me a freshly baked biscuit for afternoon tea. A magic spot that I want to return to.

It was spotlessly clean, excellent location, well appointed. Facilities were second to none. The bathroom had even had underfloor heating. Owners were lovely and helped with sorting our car problems out. Excellent value for money. Would recommend without hesitation

Perfect home away from home. The location was exact for what we wanted to do on our short break. Hosts Jill and Tom were such lovely helpful hosts. Our room was perfect and met all our needs. It was spotless. The bathroom was big and spacious, and the shower was good. There is no negative feedback we can give for this accommodation. We would definitely stay again.
