From the moment you walk up to the main building you’re greeted by an incredible view overlooking the pool towards the hills and lush forest. All the buildings and decor are beautiful and it really feels like a peaceful getaway, and still within walking distance of Tayrona Park. The restaurant and bar were also great. We had breakfast and dinner here every day and the food and drinks were delicious. We loved every bit of our stay.

We arrived late afternoon which meant our room was ready straight away. The hotel were helpful in advance letting us of the park entrance ticket booth closing time which meant we arrived before closing time (5pm). The hotel is beautiful, the views are fantastic and the sky was clear both nights we were there which meant we could stargaze from our terrace. It was super quiet and peaceful. Right by one of the main entrances to the park, easy to find and very easy to start our hike into the park early in the morning. They have a pingpong table and board games in the dining room which were fun to play in the evenings too. We will be back!

The staff and owners treated me like family. Good food, nice pool and hot tube(cold tub)! Up at 1000 feet in elevation it never felt to hot. The monkeys, birds and frog sounds were amazing. They hired a guide for me to go hiking in the Tayrona national park ,which was beautiful, with a much needed swim once we got to a safe beach. Highly recommend Tawaca if you just want to relax and take in the peace of the mountains.

Very comfortable and private tiny house off of the main entrance road to Tayrona. The houses are surrounded by nature and the balconies provide a great place to watch wildlife and take in the beauty of the surroundings. It is around a 45 minute walk or quick shuttle ride to get to the main trail head of Tayrona. Host was extremely welcoming and helpful (we had some car trouble and the host was a major resource in getting our issues resolved).
