Everything! Beautifully designed, new bungalows in the middle of a tranquil oasis of a garden with delightful pool. Also with private outdoor shower! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Some other travellers mentioned it was far from the center but it wasn’t an issue for me, I walked every day and it was about 35 minutes along the beach. Would highly recommend if you want to stay in a beautiful hotel in the middle of nature and have a great night’s sleep while being close to Puerto Viejo.

We loved staying in Smile Jungle Hostel, from the first minute to the last. Gonzalo is an amazing host and this was our favourite accommodation in Central America. You feel right at home because everything you could possibly need is available and Gonzalo is always so warm and positive. Situated nearby beautiful beach, amongst forest that is full of animals such as monkeys, parrots and sloths. We didn’t even have to go to the national park to actually see them, they were above our heads. Delicious breakfast, fresh fruits, tasty coffee and vegetarian options in the menu. The hotel is located 10 km from Puerto Viejo which is good because there is the sense of omnipresent calmness and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend!

An amazing stay ! We highly recommend it for the peaceful moments. You can watch toucans from the house and hummingbirds are nesting in the garden. Plus Bladimir is nice and show us a lot about nature, thank you !

We loved everything about our stay. Primo and his wife were so kind and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious. The location was perfect for us since we wanted some peace and quiet whilst still being able to access the national park by boat.

A lovely pool, great jungle walks, comfortable accommodation, good breakfasts, very good for families and apart from the howling monkeys, very quiet!! Clean, modern, safe hostel. Great location and value for money. Being an all woman's hostel, made it feel safer. The staff were very helpful too!
