The staff, (mostly Argentinian) were exceptional. Their weren't many people staying at the Lodge, but they still went out of their way to light us a bonfire, and were helpful getting us bicycles for the Ruta de Las Cascadas, and to help us with many other questions. Great crew!

I booked one night and staid for almost one month (!). Canelazo by the fireplace, empanadas, pizzas, homemade bread, cakes, bones for my dog Mango (!) and Italian coffee are just a few of the things that Miriam offered for free during my stay. My room was clean and comfortable, there’s parking for a few motorbikes or a camper van, the shared kitchen has all you need, the garden (with view of Tungurahua volcano!) is beautiful and was a great place for Mango to play :). They went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay in Banos and helped us answer questions about tours. At the hostel, each room has a private bathroom with a shower. What you see on-line is what you get. So no negative surprises, if anything, it is better than the on-line image. My dorm had plenty of windows, for air flow and a bright feeling, bed was comfortable. It's a small walk down hill to the town centre, so quiet pleasant location. Only meters to the open market, to buy some cheap fruit or a meal. It has a nice kitchen area for our use, with everything I needed. Very helpful staff, who give detailed information about the town, when you check in. Clean and attractive place. A bonus, especially for backpackers is there is a set up for doing your own laundry, including free laundry soap. Thank you.
