HOTEL Hospedería Monasterio de La Vid has a restaurant, bar, a garden and terrace in La Vid y Barrios. The hotel features family rooms. Free private parking is available onsite. We have used this hotel sevreral times as it is ideally placed for a final night before catching the Santander ferry. It is a former monastery and seems to have been refurbished almost without thought to expense: outstanding facilities and spacious rooms and bathrooms: nothing but the best fittings and tasteful decor. If you have time, it is worth taking the guided tour of the monastery and church which is otherwise off limits. Breakfast good and setting lovely - very historical.

This is my second camino and i'm always sleeping in private rooms as i want to avoid people snoring or going to the bathroom every 5 minutes. As you can guess that means i slept in quite a few hotels and hostels. This one, La Huella Del Camino, is one of the very very best on the whole camino! The food in the restaurant is also more than excellent, do yourself a favor and try it. The host is very friendly, a big bath tub to relax in after a day of hiking, hygiene is excellent, great bed... what else can you wish for?

Very spacious room. Bags were carried to our room. Nothing was a bother, and having such excellent English was a bonus for this non Spanish speaker. Excellent for anyone walking the Camino. Very highly recommended

Dinner is served in the small restaurant and is available at an earlier time than is usual in Spain which suits us very well. The rooms are clean and warm and the showers are excellent. Breakfast is copious and good. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful.

Igloos are really, really special - especially if you want to treat yourself after a few long days of walking. It is so obvious with how much care everything was chosen and curated, bed was super comfy, everything worked perfectly, and the basket left for breakfast was something we super appreciated as it allowed for a slower morning than usual. We were particularly blown away by hospitality of Iker and Jana, and by an actually incredible Menu del Dia that we enjoyed in the restaurant.

The owner greeted us, provided a parking space in advance, and showed us the apartment. The apartment is very comfortable. It has everything you need. We vacationed in the middle of the week. We slept with the windows open. There was no noise.
