Guests at the Stable Courtyard have 900 years of history and 500 acres of beautiful parkland on their doorstep. Absolutely lovely place. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were much nicer than we actually expected; spatious and completely equipped. The castle itself is a worthwhile attraction, and so are the garden and environs. While it may seem isolated from the rest of Kent, a taxi or bus ride can get you to Maidstone or Ashford, and from there you are free to do any day trips to Canterbury, Dungeness or London. And the breakfast was amazing!
