The staff was very kind. Nice and clean room with TV, Netflix, comfy bed and enough towels. The breakfast with view was amazing. Food was tasty and good quality, same with beverages. We could check in after midnight.

A gem in the middle of nowhere, over the top, worth every single euro spent. Definitely the most genuine accommodation you can find in Iceland, surrounded by sheep, dogs, and their pet reindeer. The restaurant is as sublime as the place itself.

Este lugar es hermoso, y esta decorado con un gusto impecable! Nos sentimos MUY a gusto. Cocinamos, lavamos la ropa (esto es un gran plus, no es facil encontrar hospedajes con lavadora) y descansamos! MUY RECOMENDADO!

Hengifosslodge Tiny Houses está ubicado en Egilsstadir y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis, zona de playa privada, balcón y acceso al jardín. Cascada Hengifoss queda a 5,8 km y Kirkjufoss a 45 km. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about our stay in the Hengifoss lodge. It's a dream to stay here. Once entered you're greeted by the warm smell of ember caused by the wood that was used to make this house. The colours and the layout of the room is incredibly cosy. The fireplace keeps the house (almost too) warm, and the window + terrace give an exceptional view over the lake and mountains. The hosts are also amazing and gave us the feeling that we're not only welcome, but also that they really understand why we chose to go to Iceland. We asked for help with our fireplace and the host, Isabelle, came to the rescue. She tried to help us to lit a fire but to no avail. We did however have a really good conversation. However when she left, we were content enough. Yet still she knocked on the door and winked us to come over. She told us enthusiastically that the Northern Lights were dancing and fully visible, we had to come outside! The next morning it was kind of raining, a little bit. But the sun was also shining through the clouds. The husband, Steff, called me when I was standing on the terrace. He said: "There is a rainbow there!" and pointed towards slightly behind the house I was standing in front of. I walked to the side and indeed saw a beautiful rainbow. This might not say much to other people wanting to stay there. But to me it feels like these people have such a connection with Iceland, its beauty and understand that we are there for the same connection, they told us to look at beautiful views which Iceland offers, and we were delighted to follow their guidance. Thank you Isabelle and Steff, for the warm welcome. Whenever we're in Iceland and planning to go near Eggs, we will definitely make use of your beautiful little houses.

Hengifosslodge Skáldahús está ubicado en Egilsstadir, a 5,9 km de Cascada Hengifoss, y tiene vista al lago, wifi gratis y estacionamiento privado gratis. Hermoso complejo. Hermoso lugar para ver auroras! Nos avisaron cuando estaban. No hay tanta luz en el complejo asiq es espectacular para eso. Camas cómodas. La vista increíble.
