The place is beautiful, very quiet, and the welcome was so polite. I will recommend this hotel to my friends in France, and I truly hope to come back to Kusatsu one day. Arigatō gozaimasu! 🙏✨

The staff are friendly and so helpful. They even called ahead for us to see if some things we wanted to do were open. We can’t wait to come back!

Exceptional hospitality and service at this ryokan. Fairly easy to find and access the bus. The meals and breakfasts were perfect and they give you a wide array of food based on your choice. The rooms were of traditional Japanese style and the whole place was clean. The private onsens were spot on and amazing to relax in while looking up at the mountains and easy to access.

Takasaki’s peaceful streets, nearby temples, and stunning mountain backdrop made every walk feel like a step into history. And the proximity to local dining and cultural sites made exploring easy and rewarding. OHIO Motosan Shukuba is more than just a place to stay — it’s an experience. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and deeply grateful for the hospitality I received. I can’t wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Takasaki.

We loved our stay at Mirise, clean house in the heart if minakami and 15mins drive from everywhere. House was impeccably clean, fully equipped with all you can think of and spacious enough for 4-6 people, best of all: dog friendly !! Response yo any questions was also very fast, usually within a few hours (despite some late hours!)
