The accommodation is a small cozy house with about 5–6 guest rooms. The room size is just right—comfortable and well-maintained. Cleanliness is excellent, and the owner is very kind and friendly. The common area is fully equipped, including a clean and well-organized kitchen with plates, cutlery, a refrigerator, microwave, and even a high-quality coffee machine, which is a great touch. One thing to note is that the staircase to the upper floor is a bit steep, which might not be ideal for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. It’s recommended to request a ground-floor room when booking, if needed.

During our trip to Japan, we stayed at several five-star or Michelin-star hotels, but this guest house was by far the best of them all. The place is incredibly clean, rich in history, yet modern at the same time. You can truly feel the history, while everything is so well maintained that it feels brand new. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. I loved it so much that I will definitely come back for at least two or three nights just to relax and enjoy this beautiful place. Thank you to the entire staff — this is exactly how top-level service should be. You’re doing an amazing job. Thank you for such a beautiful experience. ❤️

It is a great place to rest and also start your Kumano Kodo like what i did. Landlady was very very nice and informative. Place was spotless and clean, and as the other guests said going out to the toilet can be an adventure especially at night and in the cold. Those with weak knees may also have issue going up and down the stairs, maybe inform them in advance if you'd prefer to stay on the ground floor. I was also able to leave my luggage whilst i did my hike which was a bonus.

This backs off onto a very old temple where the monk who runs the accommodation holds his services. He was very friendly and showed us around the temple and I attended his moving service. The place was clean and there was Sake offered free to guests. The monk kindly accepted the receipt of my luggage transported from another city without any hassle. I will definitely stay again. He was very helpful and kind. Thanks!
