A very nice and comfortable place to stay. A gem of a place very close to Batticaloa. We spent a few nights there. It was very nice. The staff there are also very nice. The plastic on the beach there really bothered us. We are just mentioning it here. It is not their fault. The municipal council there should take responsibility for this.

We were quite concerned on the way there because the trip was through some interesting but desolate terrain. What a great surprise. The property is beautiful and the staff and service were superb. Instead of being in the middle of a bunch of other places, including a loud hostel next door, as Ubay was, this place is in a wide open, peaceful setting, the only close neighbor a church. She welcomed me graciously with fresh coconut water and gave me another one when I left.

Prior to our arrival, Joseph connected with us to find out if we had any special requirements. Stemming from that, dinner was to be arranged for us on arrival. On the day, we received a pin (location) and WiFi codes. Joseph connected with us to get an idea about arrival time. Upon arrival, we were made to feel so welcome. The rooms had been cooled down in advance and the entire unit was spotless. Dinner was served on time. The food was home made and outstanding! We really enjoyed the local pittu and prawn curry. Dinner was priced at Rs. 2000/- for two generous portions. We had a restful sleep and were able to get everything we needed ready for our day ahead in the well-equipped kitchenette. Our only regret is that we could only spend one night at this charming, cozy abode as we had to head out. We will be back!
