The accomodation is situated in a rural place with a lot of greenery around, it’s set in a beautiful environment. Clean and nice room, bed with a comfortable matress, clean bathroom, towels, AC and heated water. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Although we arrived late they accepted us even after check-in time and moreover the manager Andrew made an extra effort to help with a taxi driver who didn’t speak English and couldn’t give change. He was always available, very friendly and helpful! Tuk-tuk service is always available free of charge around the area. The breakfast is served at the main hotel The Elephant Park, it’s a buffet with fresh juice, fruits, omelette station and other food options. The view is absolutely incredible, you literally have breakfast overlooking elephants bathing, walking, eating, enjoying their time! The best possible view! I should mention that the experience exceeded my expectations and made my family very happy! Overall I’m extremely pleased with both the service and the hotel, and would gladly recommend it!

The bedroom was so beautiful, the comfiest bed, and the out door space was perfect for yoga in the morning. The owner has a garden full of fruits and herbs, he gave us a greta tour of the property. The breakfast was one of the best we have had in Sri Lanka. The owner also has a great shop, I bought a pair of super comfortable trousers, it was an unforgettable stay.

The place is very relaxing, yet you feel the jungle, in the good way. The stuff is most delicate and gentle. The facility is luxurious. We had a great time. All the payments for your stay are dedicated to the preservation of the forest. Wonderful.

Contando con un jardín, terraza y vistas al jardín, Suwani Pinnawala Homestay está ubicado en Pinnawala, a 34 km de Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens. We stayed in a guesthouse room in Pinnawala and it was a very good experience. The room was neat and clean, with big and comfortable beds covered by mosquito nets (very useful here). The bed linen was fresh and clean. The bathroom had a flow-type water heater, and the water supply was acceptable. The location is excellent – right next to the street where elephants are taken for bathing. It is only a 3‑minute walk to the elephant orphanage and about 10 minutes to the zoo. To go down to the river you need to buy a ticket at the orphanage counter, and there is also a combo ticket for both the orphanage and the zoo. Watching the elephants bathe was very interesting and the elephants are really cute. The orphanage itself was not so impressive, but the zoo was enjoyable, a nice place to walk, and I recommend visiting it. The hostess was very friendly and kind. She helped me arrange a transfer to Dambulla at a fair price. Breakfast was tasty and filling – sausages, omelet, sweet egg pancakes, toast, fruits, and tea/coffee. Overall, this place is very good for its price, and I recommend it.
