We came to stay here looking forward to Yala Safari. The rooms and the staff are all very good. They gave us an amazing safari. We were lucky enough to see leopards four times on the same day. I have seen many more. We 100% recommend that you go with them if you are looking for a good safari.

The hotel is run by a wonderful family. The owner is very helpful, doing everything himself, from garden maintenance to delicious lunches and dinners. The host organized a safari tour for us upon arrival, got up early in the morning, set off and served breakfast. I really want to wish such people success. The location is great, quiet and peaceful, you can walk to the town center and the ocean. Great pool with sun loungers.

Madu and his staff were very welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our safari was well organised and Madu made sure we were well looked after. The food was superb and eating outside overlooking the lake during the evening was bliss. The hotel was without a doubt the best accomodation we have stayed at until now in Sri Lanka. The design is spot on. The layout of our “penthouse” was very well thought out and an excellent place to wind down after dinner. We have payed much more for other accomodations throughout our stay here that don’t even come close. The whole experience is almost a bonus on top of our Sri Lankan adventure. As for the safari, our very competent driver Dulita who we named Dr Dolittle took us on an unforgettable safari. We saw leopard, elephant, mongoose, monkeys, monitor lizards, crocs and countless beautiful birds. His spotting skills were second to none. A trip to remember for a lifetime. Highly recommended.

The host was wonderful! She welcomed us with tea and fresh pineapple juice, and even offered us a free tour of the lake, where we got to see a variety of animals. She also organized an amazing safari for us — many thanks to her friend, the driver, who gave us a truly wow experience! Highly recommended!

We have chosen this accommodation to go to Yala park for a safari and it was an amazing surprise. The host family took care about us in every aspect of our stay. The room was perfectly cleaned and they offered us an amazing Sri Lankan dinner. Also the surrounding area full of culture, history and animals!

The room was unlike any other hotel in recent memory. Equipped with top tier tech and unrivaled design. The food and chef were exceptional. The service was outstanding. The location was unique and exciting. The staff including manger were very accommodating of requests and the spa was also top notch.

The place was quite easy to find, although it was a few hundred meters off the paved road. Our tent was spacious, comfortable and clean, exactly like it was pictured on Booking.com. The dinner and breakfast were delicious, plus the free coffee/tea was also very nice. We also booked a Yala morning safari through Yala Wild Hut, which we can definitely recommend.
