Hotels in Zeeland were quite full, so this was our not our first choice. However we were very pleasantly surprised by the spacious hotel suite facilities which were very well equipped with kitchen, etc. We even made good use of the washing machine in the lobby area. The rooms are in a separate building from the restaurants, but easy walking access. The food looked so good we stayed for dinner, and we were happy we did.

The B&B rooms are located in a former barn, and it was recently completely renovated as B&B. The building, the rooms and the general public areas are all really nice and feel luxurious. The beds are comfortable and the mattrasses are quite long, which is convenient to my length of almost 2 meters. The host is friendly and welcoming, The breakfast is not a buffet, but a ready to order choice of 4 or 5 different breakfast options, like a pancake breakfast, an English breakfast, a local Zeeuws breakfast, etc. We had the English breakfast and it was delicious. The town of Kats is just a small little village with not much to do, so if you come for rest and quiet, the B&B is perfect. But if you do want activities, there is plenty to do in the nearby area, with larger towns like Zierikzee and Goes nearby, and water sports in de Oosterschelde and Veerse meer.

Costa Linda B&B ligger i Vlissingen, 1,9 km fra Vlissingen Strand, og har gratis wi-fi, have med en terrasse og adgang til et boblebad. What a charming themed B&B Costa Linda turned out to be! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with Wendy’s warm hospitality, which made me feel right at home. The breakfasts were absolutely wonderful-fresh, delicious, and the perfect way to start each day. My room was perfectly equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The shower was a standout, featuring special hoses and a variety of quality soaps and shampoos, which added a touch of luxury to my mornings. The location is also ideal: just half a mile from large grocery stores and eateries, and about a 20-minute walk from HZ University, making it convenient whether you’re in town for business or leisure. A special mention goes to Luna, the adorable dog who lives at Costa Linda. She was always so eager to invite me to play catch, and her playful energy made my stay even more memorable.

A fantastic breakfast is served in the cellar, which is the oldest part of the building (1490) with accommodation in the newer part (1650). There is a small outdoor terrace on the roof to admire the nearby tower and bells that ring each quarter hour with different tunes on the half and full hour. Wilma and Marcel were great hosts and we enjoyed learning about life in Middleburg.
