The guest house is situated in a beautiful, traditional home in the heart of Nizwa, making it conveniently close to everything. The manager and staff were very kind, providing us with a wealth of information about the city (be sure to ask for the shortcut to the goat market, haha). The property manager, who is from Nepal, was outstanding. Always smiling, always making sure guests have everything they need, and the meal he prepared were very tasty. The location is just perfect, right at the start of the trail. Also you can park inside the property. We would definitely go back.

We loved the pool to dip in at the end of the day and especially the location as it was right in the heart of Nizwa, so close to the fort and souk. Our host was fantastic, really attentive and was on hand via WhatsApp to answer any questions. I would definitely stay again!

My little daughter and I got sick and the very young owner Hamza did everything possible to make us feel better and comfortable, checking on us often, providing medicine and making sure we could extend our stay nearby. He really is always with his guests making sure everyone is fine, he seems to be one heart and one soul with this place.

From the beautiful house itself and the delicious food (both breakfast and dinner are included in the price, made at home or by local cooks, out of local products, easily one of the best, if not the best, I had in Oman), through small details like the smell of incense all around the guesthouse, elegant design choices, and the high quality soap (available to buy downstairs!), to the host herself and the ambience she creates for this place. I loved her idea to have shared dinners and breakfasts, with her and/or other travelers. It is a wonderful way to exchange stories and experiences while building a small community of Bait Al Aali people. Emina knows a lot about the region, has interesting stories to tell, a big heart for animals and is conscious about sustainable development of tourism. The area is magical and quiet, with a palm plantation just outside, where you can stroll for hours and relax. The room was spacious, with a lot of light, a big, comfortable bed and a private, very clean and modern bathroom. Everything is freshly renovated, the terrace has an incredible view of the area, and Emina makes sure that the place feels like home you want to return to. I’ll definitely be back for a longer stay!
