Located in Bocas del Toro, a few steps from Bluff, S Boutique Hotel provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. The hotel has a terrace and pool views, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. We booked this place quite blindly for 6 nights after a business trip to Panama City. We came without any big expectations, but this hotel turned out to be the best choice! Built and maintained at high European standards, this hotel offers a very pleasant stay, away from the city, which can be a bit too chaotic. There is absolutely nothing negative to write about this hotel, but let me touch on some negative comments about the distance and road from the center of Bocas. The hotel is 10km from the city Centre amid in the nature, something we really appreciated. There is a cheap bus available about 6 times a day, we also rented bikes just around the corner or used taxi. I can imagine that a drunk taxi ride back to this hotel in the night can be uncomfortable, but if you are this kind of traveler, then probably this is just not the right place for you. The staff ist very present and helpful, all speak fluently English (this is not self explanatory here!). The hotel is new, better than many others here around and it looks like in the pictures (or even nicer!). The food is freshly prepared three times a day and better than anyplace else we ate! Especially the green Thai curry was amazing. There is fresh water available all the time and they offer good Cocktails. The Bluff beach is just across the “road” and is probably one of the nicest beaches we visited, with very few tourists. We felt really safe all the time. Sloths, monkeys, frogs, birds and small crabs can be observed directly from the hotel garden. Price-value is just on spot! Other guests were also nice and calm, the atmosphere was very warm and friendly the whole time of our stay.

With garden views, this accommodation offers a balcony. The bed and breakfast has private entrance. Exceptional setting over the water with views all round. Very clean and comfortable. Well equipped both in the room and with communal facilities. Best of all though are the hosts, Sally and Mike who are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The location suited us perfectly, near enough the main town for access to shops and restaurants but far enough to be completely quiet. Walking into town is possible, but probably not something to do several times a day. No problem however as taxis are cheap and plentiful. Also the bus out to starfish beach passes the end of the road. Only regret is we couldn't stay longer.

Each dinner was a surprise with a different menu, showcasing a variety of delicious, well-crafted dishes that left us eagerly anticipating the next meal. The affordability of these gourmet experiences was the cherry on top, providing exceptional value for money. The hotel's design ingeniously balances social interaction and private tranquility. The communal areas invite engaging conversations with fellow travelers, creating a sense of community among guests. Simultaneously, numerous secluded nooks offer peaceful sanctuaries for those moments when you just want to lose yourself in a good book by the beach. This harmonious blend makes the hotel ideal for both couples seeking romance and groups of friends looking for a shared adventure. The view of Bird Island from the hotel is nothing short of breathtaking. Its beauty serves as a constant reminder that you are staying in one of the world's most picturesque locations. Breakfast is available, and includes à la carte, continental and vegetarian options. I still dream of Ataraxia and its beautiful surroundings. The food was exquisite, super fresh and homemade. (Also great for vegetarians). The free use of kayaks and snorkelling gear was great, we even spotted a dolphin from the dock. The staff is super friendly and make you feel right at home without being intrusive.

At the hotel most rooms are fitted with a balcony with sea view. Rooms come complete with a private bathroom fitted with a shower and free toiletries, while some rooms at Divers Paradise Boutique Hotel also boast a seating area. At the accommodation, rooms are equipped with air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. Due to a big delay we arrived late, but they were very responsive and arranged everything. We wanted to stay one extra night, not a problem at all. Also on our last day I had a dive in the morning and they let me shower in the room afterwards! Breakfast is great and also very nice you can borrow bikes, snorkeling gear or the kayaks to go to one of the floating bars nearby.
