We booked this place quite blindly for 6 nights after a business trip to Panama City. We came without any big expectations, but this hotel turned out to be the best choice! Built and maintained at high European standards, this hotel offers a very pleasant stay, away from the city, which can be a bit too chaotic. There is absolutely nothing negative to write about this hotel, but let me touch on some negative comments about the distance and road from the center of Bocas. The hotel is 10km from the city Centre amid in the nature, something we really appreciated. There is a cheap bus available about 6 times a day, we also rented bikes just around the corner or used taxi. I can imagine that a drunk taxi ride back to this hotel in the night can be uncomfortable, but if you are this kind of traveler, then probably this is just not the right place for you. The staff ist very present and helpful, all speak fluently English (this is not self explanatory here!). The hotel is new, better than many others here around and it looks like in the pictures (or even nicer!). The food is freshly prepared three times a day and better than anyplace else we ate! Especially the green Thai curry was amazing. There is fresh water available all the time and they offer good Cocktails. The Bluff beach is just across the “road” and is probably one of the nicest beaches we visited, with very few tourists. We felt really safe all the time. Sloths, monkeys, frogs, birds and small crabs can be observed directly from the hotel garden. Price-value is just on spot! Other guests were also nice and calm, the atmosphere was very warm and friendly the whole time of our stay.

My daughter and I stayed in the king suite with view of the water. Other reviews said the room was hot but we were actually cold and used a blanket due to the water breeze and fan. The room also had an outdoor shower and hot tub. David was an excellent host and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

Exceptional setting over the water with views all round. Very clean and comfortable. Well equipped both in the room and with communal facilities. Best of all though are the hosts, Sally and Mike who are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The location suited us perfectly, near enough the main town for access to shops and restaurants but far enough to be completely quiet. Walking into town is possible, but probably not something to do several times a day. No problem however as taxis are cheap and plentiful. Also the bus out to starfish beach passes the end of the road. Only regret is we couldn't stay longer.

Amazing facilities. If you are looking for a slice of comfort and wellness, but with a remote feel, this is the spot. We only spent 3 days here, but we left feeling the staff were very friendly, the buildings were beautiful and bed was very comfortable. We had our own suite, separate to any other rooms with a sea view l, deck and a huge 4 poster. Nice and cool with the aircon because it was humid and hot in the wet season. Access to lots of beaches and tours through the main town or a short drive north to bluff beach, the hotel has a driver who will ferry you. Food was great. Not a huge amount of options but to be expected with the remoteness of location, breakfast was great. The gym was great and empty. We didn't do any of the classes, but used the sauna and plunge every morning, which was a saviour. We spent about 800 dollars in the hotel on food, drinks, a day tour of the islands and tips between the two of us in 3 days. Only thing is it takes a bit of travel if you are coming from outside the country, you will need to transfer airports in panama city and get a regional flight to bocas del toro. But that's an expected trade off for the environment. You deal with the front desk through WhatsApp which was so convenient, much better method than through the room phone, but there is always someone at the front desk too. We got engaged while here and the staff were very supportive. Loved it

Despite being a bit away from the city's hustle, the hotel offered a gastronomic adventure that easily surpassed local tourist spots in Bocas Town, both in quality and price. Each dinner was a surprise with a different menu, showcasing a variety of delicious, well-crafted dishes that left us eagerly anticipating the next meal. The affordability of these gourmet experiences was the cherry on top, providing exceptional value for money. The hotel's design ingeniously balances social interaction and private tranquility. The communal areas invite engaging conversations with fellow travelers, creating a sense of community among guests. Simultaneously, numerous secluded nooks offer peaceful sanctuaries for those moments when you just want to lose yourself in a good book by the beach. This harmonious blend makes the hotel ideal for both couples seeking romance and groups of friends looking for a shared adventure. The view of Bird Island from the hotel is nothing short of breathtaking. Its beauty serves as a constant reminder that you are staying in one of the world's most picturesque locations. For the adventurous spirit, the hotel provides kayaks for exploring the serene ocean. However, the staff’s wisdom in advising on weather conditions underscores their commitment to guest safety. This was the most perfect hotel I’ve ever stayed at- it was like he stayed in each suite to make sure everything was comfortable. Benoit was an amazing host. He was very calm and created a relaxing environment. The decor was gorgeous and tastefully executed. Food was fantastic which was prepared by him and his wife - they make a great duo. Benoit offers all the services and tours you need, without being pushy. This place could not be any cleaner - 10s all around!

We stayed in the studio with a private balcony (Estrella del Mar). Loved sitting on the terrace with a cold beer overlooking the Caribbean sea and watching the sunset 😎. You can hire paddle boards/ canoes & take them straight into the water from the pier. Bikes also available to hire. Rebecca was a great host & always available to help with any questions. The owner, Sterling, was a top bloke who kindly dropped us back at the airport! It’s about a 20 min walk to town or you can jump in a taxi for $1 each. (During the day walk along the beach to cut the corner off & avoid the traffic on the main road)
