The property is very clean, there was always someone cleaning. The personell is very helpful and super friendly, they even gave us two times an upgrade so we very super lucky. Host Jan Carlos gave a very informative introduction to Ica with a free personalised map showing local places of interest, restaurants, supermarkets etc. The location was excellent - 5 minutes walk from the historic centre and restaurants yet not on a main road so much quieter than some hostels in Ica. A taxi to Huacachina is just 7.50 Soles and ive never stayed in such a clean hostel. Although there is no kitchen there is an area with microwave, cutlery and crockery within the rooftop bar / chill out area where you can bring your own beer and food to the large fridge provided. There is free water and the showers were hot and with good pressure. Jan Carlos definitely gets 5 stars for being the most friendly, helpful and kind host.
